quick round, great pace of play, greens in great condition (fixed a few divots before putting), value - good(golf now and credit). rack rate ??
Worst Marshall experience to date
Decent Course. The Marshall was rude right from tee off.
We played the first hole pretty slow and allowed the party behind us to play Through. We went through the second hole quick and were on the green putting out when the Marshall came by told us too pick up our balls and move to the next hole because we were playing slow and the course was “packed”. The party we let through hadn’t even tee’d off on three yet! The party behind we’re fine with our pace the rest of the round and the party behind them were nowhere in sight.
This isn’t a PGA course so not sure why we were treated
This way. Won’t play this course again due to this snobby Marshall.
Good value
Good value. Good carts. Good greens. Enough space between each hole. Just yellow dried up grass on the rough makes it hard to hit sometimes.
Great Experience
Have played Deerfield a few times as I believe they are one of the few courses following the rules properly. You only play with who you came with, the staff are wonderful, the course is in great condition. Try to book most of my tee times there as I’ve never had a bad experience.
Not happy.
I had a foursome booked, but unfortunately my son injured himself just before the game so he was unable to play. I couldn’t fill the 4th spot on such short notice, so when I arrived at the course I informed them, I asked if I could get a coupon or certificate for the unused green fee they said NO, take it up with Golf Now since I prepaid for the round. Further to that it states quite clearly on my reservation that the cart(s) were included in what I paid, yet they refused to honour that and charged me for 2 carts. Very disappointed in how this was handled. Will golf now credit me for the cost of the green fee and the carts I paid for twice?
