The return!
Played this course for the second time since my first time back in the summer of 2015. At the time, I had recently began playing golf again after a 20 year layoff.
Overall the course is “okay”...in my opinion! The course design offers legitimate challenges for sure, however the green fees doesn’t match the quality of the golf experience. So far this season, I have played courses in much better condition for around the same price point.
Also, one my BIGGEST pet peeves is “crowned tee boxes”... a lot of older courses or “goat tracks” employ this design flaw. Hitting your first tee shots on holes from uneven lies is a bit ridiculous. Additional, the range is “mats only” and the mats aren’t in good shape. I don’t mind hitting off mats...I do prefer hitting off grass ranges before my rounds. But the mats there need to be replaced!
My playing partner and I decided on this course since he had never played the course. So we played a birthday round to celebrate his 67th year of existence. A few positives of from the course: pro shop staff were friendly, Starter was super chill, we played on a Tuesday afternoon so the course was very open. Didn’t have to wait to tee off till Hole #16.
4 hrs of bliss
Great pace. Major storm before tee off. Greens superb. Great day at Deerfield
Great Value for Money
Went to the course today with my 14 son, had booked a tee time on line for 2. I enquired in the pro shop about a junior rate. To my surprise they had a deal on that after 1pm kids under 16 golfed for free with a paying adult. $49 for 2 rounds of golf. Exceptional deal. Course was in great shape. Mostly 2 somes playing . Got off 20 minutes early and finished in 3.5 hours. Great afternoon. Starters and Marshall's were great too had some good chats with them about the course since it was my first time there
Will definitely be back!
Pretty decent!
First time to Deerfield. Has putting green, chipping green, and range! Very friendly staff and golfers alike! Pace of play was great! Would go again and recommend to friends and family!
Great day at the deer.
Under 4 hours. Great pace. Greens are great. It’s a great course for a Sunday round. Played 18 rounds their so far. Looking forward to fall golf.
Enjoyed the round of golf
Few small things to nitpick but otherwise a good course. We enjoyed our round.
greens were good
The greens were all perfect. however, the first 9 tee boxes were very uneven and the Tee Off spot were also put at the worst spots. For intermediate and beginners it was challenging T shots as most of the time we were standing on a slope to T off. Back 9 was slightly better.
Got a deal with Golf now. Otherwiise this course is pretty high and may not be worth it.
Nice to play close-by for a change
The wet spring has all courses in prime condition and this one is no different. Short, easy to walk, with true consistent greens. Fairways are lush and rolling well. Play it soon before summer burn-out kills the rough.
Friday Night Twilight
First beautiful day of 2019, course was busy yet was to be expected. The price for twilight was worth it. I’m a big fan of this course and I recommend to anyone.
Good early season round but soggy
In spite of their best efforts nature has kept most fairways soggy but playable. Tees and greens are fine but keep an eagle eye on high loft shots in case of plugs.
We appreciate you taking the time to leave us a review. We are sorry you didn't have a positive experience with us. We hope to improve in the future, so hopefully your next experience is 5 stars.
