Glen Abbey Golf Club

Course was in great condition. The layout is spectacular ( especially in the valley)

I could Plat this course every day and not get tired of it .

The course always leaves me with the feeling I can return and do better.

Obviously this is my favorite

The course was in great condition apart from the greens which were in terrible condition. Worst greens I have played on all deason

We waited on every single shot, with no Marshalls to move groups along. We watched groups have conversations instead of playing with 2 open holes ahead. And another group of 20 handicaps playing from the blues, this included a woman, also playing from the blues who couldn’t hit the ball 15 feet in the air.

The pace of play ruined what could have been a nice round

This a fun course , the back 9 ( 11-12-13) are the holes you need to manage well .

I was really excited to take my brother in-law to GA, as he’s visiting from BC and has never played. It was a beautiful day and the course was in fabulous shape. He needed to rent clubs which surprisingly cost $100 bucks. Nice set of clubs however they looked like they’ve never been cleaned. Like never! For that money they should have been in better shape. We also had to switch carts after the second hole because ours was on the fritz. Randomly stoped dead while driving at full speed. If you can get a good rate, you should see this course at least once.

I’ve been skeptical about going back to Glen Abbey. I played around 3 years ago at a time Clublink were dying to sell it. The place was in poor shape. Especially for what they wanted to play it. And the facilities tired and old. I was happy to see there had been investment at the club for the course itself. But they have to put some money into the facilities. The food kiosk and whatever the heck that thing is on 10. Is a lick of paint or stain too much. Knock them down and modernize it. It’s embarrassing for what is now a heritage site. Overall I scored the course well and the facilities very poorly.

Unfortunately it was cart path only and the course was very soggy after a very heavy rainfall: Sand traps were lakes and so were the fairways was hoping to play the Abby in much better conditions but so goes it.

First time going to a golf course by myself . No longer apprehensive.
