Hockley Valley Resort

The course is $120, and doesn’t look like it’s been watered this year. The fairways are rock and the greens are literally cracking and splitting. This course was a renown course of being in great condition and they’ve dropped the ball. I told everyone I know not to play here.

This course had great scenery but very poor conditions. Some of the greens were unputtable and were not made aware of this. Would definitely return if course conditions were better.

Fairways rough is too long about 3-4 inches and in need for trimming. Weed in front of hole 13 should be trimmed as it obstruct view of the fairway.

On a positive note, the course is beautiful. Staff is friendly. I enjoy playing Hockey Valley.

Beautiful day. Gorgeous views. Just a little pricey. A few sand traps would be nice.

Played hockley for the first time…. Fully knew what the cost was and expected certain things on the course. When you pay $100, what do you expect?

Course layout was nice and some fun holes. Fairways were in relative good shape and most of the greens were… green. Smaller greens but for the most part they rolled

However, no Marshall on the course to help move pace really made for a long and annoying round. If you don’t know much about golf… just play at a good pace until you learn. Not hard.

Some greens had many brown spots and cart paths were extremely unkept. I just think when it’s $100 per person… the course should be a certain way. Some holes could use some additional signage so that you don’t drive your cart into the tee location of the next hole.

Elevation changes make for some interesting choices and that was fun. Starter was awesome and pleasant as were the young men running the carts. Excellent attitude and service.

I don’t think I’d play here again unless the price dropped to around $65-70 cart included.

Awesome course, challenging when first playing. Great variety and enough to keep you on focus.

I had played Hockley before and to be honest did not expect much different than what we got. With the pandemic I understand the demand for golf is at its highest in years. However the price put on the round at Hockley I would expect much higher quality cart path and practice amenities. The practice putting green was unusable with the amount of goose poop covering the green. The layout of the course is enjoyable and the fairway and greens were in great shape

One of my favourite courses and not disappointed. I forgot how beautiful ALL of the par 3’s were. I had to get use to the greens as some were spongy and soaked but that’s understandable. Only complaint is the marshals. They are unfriendly and stupid. I was about to tee off on 15 and the marshal comes up out of nowhere in the middle of the fairway. My son had to tell me to stop at the top of my swing. Cart path I could understand. Other than that I love the course and service.

Good course and kept in good condition. Would be nice to see a sand trap here or there but still was difficult with the hills and narrow forest. Not too forgiving of a layout.
