Picturesque Hilly and Target Oriented
we played late in day teeing off at 5 and managed to get in 18. The twilight rate was exceptional. Course is in reasonably good shape. Greens a bit slow but if they were fast they certainly would be challenging. Lots of up and down. Not sure how much vertical we did in total but it was significant.A cart is absolutely essential. Even then there’s some challenging walks up and down to the greens . There were some beautiful views. If you like hitting down to par 3 greens this is definitely a course for you. as noted in the title this course is quite target oriented and if you can’t control your ball direction you’re going to lose a number of balls. While the fairways are reasonably wide with a substantial second cut if you do miss the second cut the ball is pretty much history. We played with a couple of young guys and one of them must’ve lost At least a dozen balls as he had a big slice. Overall an interesting course and good value for the money that I would recommend for better players.
Best Course going
As always a great experience. Staff are the best. Had a divider in the cart for COVID so we could ride together, great idea.
Keep up the great work, will be back soon.
Great Fathers Day event
Course was in good shape. Carts should be at bag drop as well as staff to support new COViD protocols.
Conditions
The conditions were not as good as previous years I’ve played here. The rough was very deep and gnarly! I lost a couple balls that tricked off the fairway. Greens are slow but still challenging. The cart baths are super bumpy, they need replacing. This is still my top 5 courses. They’re probably just behind due to late start this year. $9 beer is a bit much too. Even with this whining I’ll still play there again
Beautiful course
It is a beautiful course. Every hole is a picture and has its own character. The golf course is well maintained.
in play the way
Great time of year ,great track for challenge golf .Lots to consider . Today too hot ,31c , thankful for a cart .
Definite good choice and look forward to next attempt to lower score .
If it's your first round here expect a score 5-10 strokes higher by the end of your round , (10+ handicap).
Booked on GOLFNOW .
CV19 rules in effect made for comfortable pace .

Challenging course but amazing views and the course was in great condition. The elevation of some of the tee’s is something you rarely see, and makes for a fun round.
Hockley Rocks
Course was in great shape. It’s very hilly with spectacular views and some serious drops from tee to green. Staff are very friendly and tee time spacing makes you feel like the only group out there. Worth the 90 minute drive to get there and will be back soon.
Too much up & Down. Really tough course to play.
Unless You have Stamina to walk a lot uphill & downhill. Cant even take golf cart in most of the area.
Will never go again.
All things considered with all we all are going through, a perfect round of golf. Nice to get out and get fresh air.
Good Round at Hockley Valley
Always wanted to play and finally did. Went by myself and was placed with another twosome. What you see is what you get with the course. No tricks. Narrow fairways. No bunkers but very thick rough. Narrow greens. Need to find short stuff or you have no choice but to lay up. Course was in good condition except for a few tees boxes. Greens rolled well. Pace of play was good except for a group of 4 ahead of us that decided to really take their time. Would have loved to stay for food afterwards but COVID says otherwise. Would definitely come back!
Spectacular views
Great views of the surrounding area & the par 3’s are spectacular. A unique experience & well worth the visit. An emphasis on accuracy & keeping the ball in play to have a chance of scoring well. I will definitely play again especially in the fall.
