Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Have let all of their bunkers go back to natural, both fairway and greenside
Sand traps
Beautiful course in great condition for time of year. Exception was sand traps fuller with weeds and minimal sand. Took away from an other wise lovely course.
Smells bad
Beautiful course, great day, only ruined by unbearable smell of Pig crap. It was so
Bad, my wife because I’ll. Unlike cow Manure, pig waste is mixed with water, and sprayed, become air borne, so, people, guest and staff are likely to inhale raw pig waste.
Excellent Course
I really love this course. It's well layed out and challenging. But very well maintained.
This year they stopped maintaining bunkers as they have a plan for next year to remove some and redo others. So the bunkers weren't good when we played.
It's a tough course to walk and not a lot of people walk it. Lots of hills.
Slow,slow
I play this course once a year now. Used tomplay it 3-4 times a year.
Always slow. rangers riding around doing NOTHING.
Why are owners catering to hackers instead of dedicated golfers who probably would golf here more often if they could finish in 4 hours
This course had such promise
Looks like the ownership at Otter Creek has really let this place suffer. The greens, tee boxes and fairways were in decent shape but the bunkers are in despicable condition. Every bunker on the course is overrun with weeds. Sad. Aside from a few really dumb holes (9, 12, 18), it's a fairly decent layout. I won't be back at the rate they are charging.
Bunkers need love
The pro shop indicated that the bunkers have not been maintained all year due to staffing issues...and it showed. Bunkers are borderline unplayable. Too bad, such a nice course that is being sullied by this. The rest of the course is in excellent shape, so long as players take a little care to fix ball marks and divots. I spent more time fixing ball marks than putting!
Course used to be Awesome!
Bunkers not maintained, fairways in rough shake, greens very slow. And no restaurant meant we had to drive back to London for dinner. My wife and I have been playing this course since the pro-shop was a trailer, and love the layout and have enjoyed the course in the past. This year we found the course to well below what had experienced in the past. Not worth the high fees (even the “hot deal”) to play here anymore.
Over Priced
For 85 dollars CAD I expect alot more. They aren't maintaining the course. Bunkers not raked and no new sand..looks like they haven't put any new sand in for years. Greens in bad shape and fairways full of weeds. Many other better options locally at half the price. Big mistake and won't ever go back there. Have heard the owners don't care (that is obvious) and waiting to sells to Real Estate Developers.
Going downhill
I have played this course before and I enjoyed the challenge but today this course was awful. The sand traps are full of weeds and what that does is you loose the visual of the hazards and it doesn’t define the greens anymore. This course is tough enough but people will not come to a course in this poorly maintained condition. Greens were in good shape as were the fairways and the girl at the turn was very pleasant those are the on good I could come up with. And after the round there is no place to put your clubs before you have to carry them back to your car maybe another bag drop area.
