Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Otter Creek waste bunkers!!
Course is a good layout, unfortunately we found out by ranger halfway thru round that they were not maintaining any bunkers for balance of the season as they are redoing or removing many in the off season. So basically all bunkers are waste areas filled with weeds. Other issue was they had just aerated the greens on front nine, so they were pretty rough, back nine was fine. That however is just luck of the draw & timing.
disappointed return to otter
Hard to imagine they let their golf course go. Explaining the updates in the future in the bunkers. Havnt had any maintenence this year?
Just Get Out and Enjoy this Course
I have played this course about 6 times, it is a bit of drive (approx 1 hour from Hamilton/Burlington). I have taken several friends and always found the reaction was great and worth it. The course is in great shape with exception of the bunkers (weeds sprawl and tall growth), but that's ok as you just find a spot and move the ball to a clear area of the bunker - not a big deal or it depends how picky you are or if you're a scratch golfer. Have fun, love it. Just a beautiful course and clubhouse for drinks afterwards.
Kevin B from Burlington
Always friendly staff and a fabulous course all round .
A course that can really punish you if your game is not quite on, but can also reward you well if it is.
Only drawbacks on Wednesday were that there were no beverage carts out on the course - but that’s because the course wasn’t very busy - so it was great to play at your own speed fast or slow- and the staff at the patio bar loam out beer coolers full of ice for you to b buy a couple and bring them out on the course with you - perfect solution since you don’t have to wait for a beer cart to get one!! (…. but don’t be that guy who borrows their cooler with ice and packs his own beers from home in it. - come on man it’s a nice course and the staff are great!) ….. it’s one of my favourite courses around and we drive all the way from Burlington to play it a few times a year at least! - it’s similar to Mystic but nicer and friendlier staff!
- Bunkers have not been maintained however ! - costs?!???
BUNKERS?
Staff told me they did not have the "resources" to maintain the buyers. Worst, totally unplayable bunkers I have ever seen. Wrecks an otherwise gorgeous course with great tees, fairways and greens.
Fix the bunkers or reduce the price and notify players that bunkers are not playable. The funniest part is that there 3 rakes around each bunker.
disappointed return to otter
I'm not sure what has happened to Otter Creek but, They have grass and weeds growing out of almost every bunker. The rest of the course is run down and not been taken care of. Are they headed for receivership? I wouldnt recommend this to anyone. they closed the range due to the ball picking machine not working. I guess the issue is through the whole course. Bad experience.
great day
Excellent course in fine shape. Very friendly and helpful staff. Some very challenging holes.
Challenging yet fun
This course Has an amazing layout Really well worked into the landscape not changing too much of the land to make it. It has a lot of challenging Holes That create a very tough course with lots of forgiveness but also lots of challenges. Bunkers are the only downfall in this course but that's due to the covid situation.
Once those bunkers have been resurfaced and refilled it will be a course to be reckoned with.
Definitely well worth the money tough course to walk cards are definitely to be used Unless you're up for the challenge.
Good Conditions
Been reading the reviews about bunkers not been maintain…
We decided to treat it as ground under repair. Although I was lucky to land in only one of them.
Overall, the fairways and greens are great, and that’s the important part.
The course is out of the way but well worth it and good value to play. Oh, and only $13 for 2 Triple Bogey tall boys !!
Great layout
Otter Creek draws you in with its natural beauty and offers a fair test of golf from tee to green. Pace of play was good, and the course conditions were good as long as you weren’t hitting your ball out of an unkept bunker. Both power carts in our group were in a state of disrepair.
Great layout
Loved the course, great layout, greens were in great shape and rolled true, bunkers could use some love.
