Otter Creek Golf Club
About
Otter Creek Golf Club is situated in the idyllic farm community of Otterville, Ontario, which is only a 30-minute drive from Woodstock. The rural landscape was formerly farm and tobacco fields, lending a unique, rustic character to the golf course. The layout sprawls across 300 acres, winding through the scenic, wooded valleys of Otter, Cedar, and Spittler Creeks. Dick Kirkpatrick, one of Canada's top golf course architects, designed Otter Creek Golf Club. Kirkpatrick designed the course with players of all skill levels in mind, incorporating minimal forced carries and six sets of tees to make it more accessible for those who are new to the game

Narrow course
Fairways in good shape
Sand traps full of weeds
Maintenance lacking
Raw sewage being dumped into creek causing foul smell on course
Bunkers are absymal
All bunkers are basically ground under repair..
They claim lack of staff but I'm sure there are days and times to do something.
A plight on an otherwise terrific golf course.
Some Slippage
The greens were great, but care of the fairways has slipped and NO attempt at maintaining the bunkers, which are rough and overgrown with weeds. It's a definite disappointment to see such a great course not in peak condition.
A fan, but.....
....what happened to the bunkers on this course? I'll start by saying that I'm a big fan of Otter Creek. Love the layout, location, amenities and staff. However the cups, bunkers and feskew are all currently neglected. My foursome essentially treated the sand traps as ground under repair because they weren't worth damaging your clubs over. It's pretty night and day compared to last year. I'll come back in the fall but hopefully some big improvements have been made.
Nothing fine with bunkers… at least clean them out
Great course
Course is in great shape except they are nit maintaining the bunkers at all. Otherwise, fabulous
Best course in Ontario
This is one of the best courses we have played at.
Otter creek
Last played this 4 years ago, they have let the conditions slide a bit . Fairways and greens still good but the bunkers were discussing!!! The tees were also chewed in spots..They also gave us a cart that would not stop jerk starting to the point it tweaked my buddys back and made such noise that got worse till we got to 18 and it snapped and would not go into gear so we had to leave and carry clubs to the lot. Hope they fix their issues as it’s a long drive for me for disappointment.
Great layout BUT.....
The course is great other than bunkers. If you are not going to maintain them just turn them into grass bunkers. Putting rakes around what you have there is a joke.
The 9th hole is stupid. Force layup on the tee shot to 230 yards from the tee leaving you an up hill force carry of 205 yard to the front of the green, which runs down toward the ditch.
Very challenging
Overall course was in great shape. Narrow and greens running fast. Only downside was bunkers which do not appear to be maintained even though good sand in them. Seems to be a trend to not look after bunkers.
Tricky, yet Fun course
Course is in excellent shape (considering how dry it has been in SWO the past few months). It’s a challenging course with the narrow fairways and lots of bunkers around the greens. I think I only pulled the driver out on ~3 holes or so, otherwise you really need to be accurate on your distances from the tee block (as well as hooks/slices of course). Bunkers could use some work, lots of weeds growing in them. Greens were a good, consistent pace. Our foursome Teed off at 11am and only had to wait on 2 holes for the group(s) in front of us
just a great golf course just too bad they dont get the sand traps and waste area looked after. condition of faurways and greens is excellent just to bad traps are in such a state of repair
Love it
Great course - challenges all parts of your game. The staff are superb!!
