Good round for first of the year
Never played Keystone before. Previous reviews did not reflect the impression I had of the course. Even though it was a very wet experience(too much spring rain), we had a great time on the course. Would recommend to anyone out for a good round of golf with some lengthy par 5's. Will return when we get some drier weather.
Keystone good club house & bar
Course was in good shape for this time of the year not crowed They need a few more directions on how to get to each hole ex 2 & 10 Also signs for holes should have the hole number on both sides a very enjoyable day we will go back
nice
It was a great day i went by myself and ended up playing with 3 brothers. We had a great time. The course was set up well and the conditions where great.
Keystone links
Great staff and nice course. We play best ball with our husbands and did not need to wait at any of the holes.
Great course
Always enjoy playing Keystone. Friendly staff, well maintained course, and good value
Well groomed but not exciting
Course very well maintained, both fairways and greens. Fairly challenging but not exciting. Needs somewhat better direction guides to holes
Keystone links
Played on a very busy day so pace was slow, I was told this at checkin so was not upset by that
I was very upset that the threesome in front of us had a dog with them- running loose
At one point a golf course employee came and got the owner to go get the dog as it was somewhere else on the course
We had to wait while he went and got the dog
Also three times when I was about to hit to the green I was distracted by the dog running across the green to catch up with its owner
I will not play again on any course that allows dogs on it
seed greens
we were not informed until we arrived that the back nine was closed, so had to play front nine twice,. Got held up with so many golfers on front nine.
Great Value on Golfnow
We had a great time playing this course. The course was in great shape despite the dry conditions. Amazing staff and fun course. I will play again
Dustbowl
Interesting course, if you place make sure you pick up a free course guide in the pro shop. The tee maps are a little misleading and many of the drives are blind. The scorching summer has left most of the fairways burnt out, hard and very fast. Almost like playing on straw. That being said the tee and greens were lush and the green nice, but surprisingly slow (admittedly I play at a private course in southwestern Ontario our green run at 10+, so I'm spoiled in that respect) the round took 2:56 minutes playing as a single with a cart so that was a definite plus. I'm sure with some rain this course could be a real value added addition.
great value
great value even though course very hard and dry. pace of play not too bad. Staff very friendly, Would play here again
Enjoyable golf
Keystone is a basic no frills golf course but I like it . For what I paid on golfnow I really enjoy the course , conditions are ok , rough is fair , greens are decent . Excellent value
Weather in Peterborough
The draught has affected many courses. Unusually dry fairways and rough. Need rain.
This course is challenging
The course is a test of golf whether you're a exceptionally long ball or average driver of the ball. The hazards and sand traps are strategically located to test your skill levels and ability to manage your way around the course. Despite the lack of rain this summer (2016), greens and about 150 yards out from the green were well maintained .
Good Day of Golf
Great weather, course was in very good condition even with such dry weather we have had. Greens and approach fairways in excellent shape. Will be back next week.
nice layout and friendly staff
Had a great time. Nice course layout, and for not having had rain most of the summer it was in pretty nice shape. About 38 degrees with the humidity when we played, one of the staff was making rounds with free water all day. Nice!
Love this course
Great course. Very much enjoyed playing there.
Nice course.
Excellent course and good value for your $$$.
Sounds like a dog day afternoon. Hope you had a hot dog after that round!
