easily walked and wide open
Keystone is a links style course that has a few challenging holes over water. The distances are fairly well marked. Large fast, hard greens make for some interesting pin placements. The Fairways are well kept and the tee decks are good. Many people walk this busy course . The sand traps have good raked sand. Keystone makes for a fun time on a moderately challenging course for the average golfer.- friendly people - few marshals -
Needs attention to Grass
Now I know we have had a wet spring but even the fairway grass was too long in most places to use anything but Irons and once off the fairway it was had to find the ball in the fringe grass.
have to keep your head up-narrow fairways-holes close side by side
have to check the distances some of the yardages on the score card are inaccurate. course is in good shape overall-greens a little slow probably due to too much rain.
Pouring rain; course was empty
Basic golf course without "frills".
Reasonable value given that deals are available.
Back nine more interesting than the front.
for the money..can't get any better...
close to home and for the money...great deal! Keep the price right and I will be on the course all summer and will pass it on to all my friends....
Great value for money
Played Keystone Links every year now and always enjoy the outing. Some challenging holes and par 4'sare a bit short but moving to the back tees rectifies that.
Great Par 3's and have to hit the correct yardage or you will find trouble as some of these greens are like postage stamps.
It's one of the normal golf courses.
I had a good time with my wife, we were enjoy to play it.
But distance of g.c is so far from my house.
If the Fee is expensive, I don't want to play there more.
Course is great for the novice golfer
Management is working on improving the course. Previously it was ran just to make money but now it seems they are investing on improving the playing conditions. I play here only for convenience and the price from GolfNow was to good to pass up.
this course has 2 fun finishing holes- 9 and 18 which make you try to birdie or par them
this course is fun to play as it is wide open - the fairways are well kept and uniform- if you stay in the fairway the ball is always a very good lie- the distances are fairly well marked on most holes- the marshals and club house people are the best- beautiful walk especially in the fall
"Hidden Gem"
We were looking at Hot Deals for an early morning tee time. Keystone Links came up for fantastic rate with the cart included.
Less than an hour drive from home (Ajax) and we were there. Staff were friendly and we were told we could tee off as soon as we were ready to go. By the time our "official" tee time came around, we already had four holes completed. Pace of play was really good. We were a threesome following a twosome. Course was really lush and the greens were in great shape. Some tight driving holes and some that allow for that ever present "power fade". Some of the course was pretty wet due to a bad storm the night before but that is no fault of the course. The fairways could have used a cut but they were still in good condition. A very quiet course for being located so close to the highway. Clubhouse was in good shape and the bar and patio overlook the course although we finished too early to enjoy it. Overall, a great Hot Deal but it would still be a good deal at the full price. If I lived closer, I would consider a membership here due to the great pace of play, the condition and size of the greens allowing for a variety of testing pin placements.
