Pickering Golf Club

My wife and I played there July 28 and boy was it hot!!!!

Let me start by saying that we are not "Golfers". The course was a bit challenging (for us anyway and the heat didn't help). but the course is very well maintained and clean. The staff are very friendly and helpful. Ron, the marshal, saw that we were/are beginners and helped us out with advice, extra balls and even went out of his way to get us a couple of cold bottles of water.

Thanks Pickering Golf Club, and Ron! We had a great day and will definitely be going back!

The game could have been slow if we followed the 4 some ahead but thankfully we passed them and had an unencumbered round. The course was in great condition and provided a challenging game. For a 9 hole course it provided all we wanted and recommend it to the experienced golfers.

Once again spent a great afternoon, playing at a good pace on a well taken care of course. Highlighted as always by friendly staff.

Great condition, friendly staff, greens are very well maintained. Good course for beginners and children.

Only problem for me was the layout. Have to be very Cautious of incoming balls. The Back to back par 3s is a Dangerous area.

Overall, A lot more good things to say then bad about this place though. Would recommend to anyone who wants to play a challenging nine

Very challenging 9 hole course. Well maintained. Had a deer visit us and saw a turtle lay her eggs.

“Ron” the marshal is the best! He is an incredibly nice personable guy. Makes sure every golfer is enjoying there round.

Played a mourning round on a Sunday, amazing course for the price! We had a marshal named “Ron” After telling him my wife and myself are beginners, every time he drove by he gave us stray balls. Super nice guy.

We will definitely be back.

Had a great round and was struck by the challenging landscape! A surprise at each tee block.

The course has a pretty decent layout and is in good shape, especially considering the price. The pace of play is awful and there was a 45 minute lineup on the first tee, but for $25 it’s really quite good value. I went with my wife and is was perfect for us, if I was playing a competitive round the pace of play would have been very frustrating.

Staff did not know how GolfNow booking works and had to spend quite sometime to figure it out..

Especially challenging were 2 of the long par 3s across ravines. Also the fairways were tight with trees and down slopes. Undulated greens too.

I got around in 1 1/2 hours by myself; great. I know the place, the quirky holes [par 3s] the lines to carry [don't go right on your 2nd shot on #2] and the greens are fair. for the golfnow price it's all that. if I didn't have to drive 45 minutes, it would be even better. and now the restaurant is serving good food [wings, yum]

Make sure you get the fish tacos! Freakin fantastic!

Third year in a row I've noticed big improvements in course condition and no more harassing tractor, now an even greater bargain, but drive slow and be careful when the cartpath gets hilly. Lots of new golfers have been coming out to take advantage of this great bargain in Pickering.

I remember playing the Seaton Course years ago at a company best ball tourney. Since then, they’ve built a subdivision in front of the club house.

The nine holes are a bit of a surprise. Creative lay out. Three par threes, and some serious hills keep it interesting. I played Friday morning, and liked it so much I played it again with my wife and son. Both days the round was less than an hour 45. And we took our time.

Good value. Quick round. And superb greens.
