About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Course in great shape
Enjoyed our time playing this course. The only negative was the slow play in the late afternoon. We were allowed to start a bit early as there were some open times but we caught up to a very slow foursome and had to constantly wait while they fished their golf balls out of a pond or woods! No effort was made to wave us through and it took us (twosome) 4 hours 20 minutes to complete our round!
Bunkers and pace of play
Very fun layout greens are in quite good shape but the pace of play and the bunkers are just unacceptable. Bunkers have tons of stones and beach sand just awful. Pace of play was ridiculous we played in 4:45 and when the marshal came around he told us the pace of play was good. I've always liked this course but it's getting so it's a guaranteed more than 4:15 round and the Bunkers are borderline unplayable there's just better options now.
Revamping par excellence
I played here before the course rework and I will say it is so much better now. The greens are undulating and challenging..From tee to green and hole to hole, there is variety and challenge. We liked the first 18 so much, we played another. And their replay rates very appealing. We thoroughly enjoyed our day.
First time at Black Diamond
Played here for the first time, all was enjoyable, and I will for sure return! The pace was slower, but that was fine as it made for a pretty relaxing game!
Awesome Layout Very Slow Pace
This was my first time at Black Diamond. Conditions were excellent and the layout is amazing, but the pace was unbearably slow for a Saturday 12:40 tee time. It took us 4 hours to play 14, we waited every shot. We had to leave after 14 holes due to time constraints. Would return and play early in the morning for better pace.
Fun day at Diamond
Had fun at B Diamond, amazing course condition, greens were tough and fun, my first choice course to play in cottage area
Overall enjoyable experience
The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly. The pace of play was a bit slow, due to the elevation changes we were hit into once and had a group behind us waiting on every tee block. My only real issue was pin placement was less then ideal, a few holes had some impossible pins, while challenging, it was tougher to play for hitting good shots.
