About
Black Diamond Golf Club was carefully carved from the foothills and hardwood and pine forests of the Kawartha Oakridge Moraine. The natural landscape, which is covered in fescue, provides many challenges including several elevation changes and water hazards. The layout is unique in that the front nine is more of an open, links style with a double green and numerous pot bunkers, while the back nine has a more traditional North American character. Black Diamond Golf Club's back nine has a few tricky blind shots that present a formidable test for players of all skill levels. The golf course also has rolling fairways lined with trees, carefully sculpted mounding, and 70 strategically placed bunkers throughout.

Overall enjoyable experience
The course was in great shape and the staff was friendly. The pace of play was a bit slow, due to the elevation changes we were hit into once and had a group behind us waiting on every tee block. My only real issue was pin placement was less then ideal, a few holes had some impossible pins, while challenging, it was tougher to play for hitting good shots.
Beautiful challenging course
Greens were fast and lush , leaf cover was not an issue

The leaves were colorful staff was friendly the course was in great shape and the roast beef sandwich with pickles tasted like a big mac

Played Black Diamond yesterday and thoroughly enjoyed the course.

Great local course
This is my go to course. Everything is great but of course the pace of play can be slow and there is no marshals on course to speed things along.
Fabulous, functional and fun!
Nice spacious fairways, beautiful landscape, well maintained and good variety, challenging holes.
It’s a must golf!!
Friday PM is slow
Finished 14 holes in 4:17 and called it a day. Four groups of less than average golfers hitting from the blues, they waited for every green to clear when hitting 200+ yards in, I appreciate there is only so much the Marshall can do, but at some point it’s no longer acceptable. 1 hour for the first three holes.
Over booking
Tee off at 3:15, left the course on 16 at 7:45pm (sun sets at 7:15). The entire course was jammed up. According to the marshal they were backed up 1-2 foursomes on every hole ahead of us. That doesn’t happen by accident and it’s not acceptable. Played this course many times except this year which this was my first and last. Course is in good conditions, greens are challenging, but who pays to not play? Not me.
Almost perfect
The views on this course are fantastic once you get beyond the first few holes which are close to the 115 highway. Greens & fairways in great shape, firm and well taken care of.
Tee blocks could use some help as they are a bit mounded. It’s really the only thing I can comment on that wasn’t amazing about this course.
Some very challenging blind holes, and a mix of open forgiving one near the end of the round.
Worth the drive or if you are passing through, conveniently located right off the highway 115.
This would be a $125+ per round course if located closer to GTA. My opinion.
Didn’t check the clubhouse out very much, didn’t have time. Patio looked great.
Many greens in rough condition
I do love this course, the layout is great and the fairways are always well taken care of. Unfortunately the greens need to be maintained better. I know it’s late in the year but in the past the greens were in better shape, many ball marks had not been tended to or repaired poorly. Hopefully they can resolve this issue for next year.
Great course to play
Bit of a drive from Toronto, but it's a gem to play and definitely worth the drive
