Hidden gem in Gods Country
From the time I spoke with Ian in the pro shop to meeting Cam as the starter and Joe on course marshalling everyone was amazing
The course is fun, challenging and never the same hole style twice.
11 inches of rain on the last 4 weeks and other then some slower than normal
Greens you would
Never know.
Outstanding job by the greens keeper maintaining this hidden gem
Will be back
As soon as possible
Beautiful Course... tough greens!
This course is beautiful and has a challenging layout, but the greens are a bit small and tough to hold! A great course to work on your mid irons and play target golf!
I'll be back!
Good Value
Played Port Dover this morning for the first time and was glad that I did. Good value at $38 to walk on the weekend. There was a lot of rain overnight so I won't get into those conditions in this review. It's clear that ownership has done a bunch of work to the course and drainage in key areas would be another need to address. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but it is definitely not an up and back type of layout. A good variety of holes over some hilly terrain in parts and greens were in good shape. Holes that stood out to me were the par three 4th, par 5 8th and par 4 14th. I liked the character of the old barn clubhouse and the expanded patio is a nice addition. Will definitely be back this summer
Great friendly staff and course.
We have played this course several times now and we have to say what a great course. They are making improvements since the new ownership. Good layout with the grounds well maintained. The course distances are reachable making enjoyable to play for all types of golfers.
Poor pace of play
Only one Marshal on course with back nine taking 2 2/3 hours to play. Unacceptable on on a fairly short course! Foursome in front of us wait to clear green 300 yards away, other foursome just out for a leisurely walk in the park, caring less how long they took. READY golf good luck with that! Seems management couldn’t be bothered with additional staff to ensure proper pace of play.
Good course to play.
We played after a tournament. The course condition was great. It was raining when we played 1st hole. After we let the twosome past us at 6th hole, we didn’t see anybody before or after us. We really enjoyed the round.
Rough is way too long
A couple problems with my experience. The rough is bery long and then there is some brush thats even longer and makes it impossible to find your ball. Even if you narrowly miss the fairway. Tee boxes were on slopes. Ranges were significantly off. 150 yards displayed and 105 rangefinded.
Nice course
First time playing here and I was pleasantly surprised. Fantastic course conditions and they are improving the course as we speak. Highly recommend playing here
Been a while..
Haven’t been out there for a few years, and what a turn around. From. The clubhouse to the new patio. And the work they are doing around the course. Staff are super friendly, and totally worth the drive…
Rough is Punishing
The rough is very long and you spend a lot of time looking for balls if you don't hit in the fairway. Very hard for the intermediate golfer to get ball out of rough. Very punishing for average golfer and slows down play. Fairways and greens are well maintained.
Course was nice
Fairways were in good condition, as were the greens, staff was friendly and polite! Overall a good experience!
