Interesting Course
We played Port Dover GC (Lynn Meadows in Hole19 btw) yesterday. For early in the season in good shape and an aggressive improvement program underway. A number of trees cut down that they are in the midst of cleaning up, new tee boxes being prepared, new patio, etc. So right now you need to overlook some of that but beautiful area, friendly staff, excellent Covid measures, good value with cart included.
Damp day in port Dover
It was raining all morning but it couldn't dampen our spirits for the first game of 2021. The course was obviously wet and in the middle of some changes. New tee boxes under construction and removal of some mature trees that had hampered some line of sight shots indicate a good look for the summer.
The water hazards were full, and the water on the fairways made for longer club selection to compensate for lack of roll. Still shot 86 from the blues without a birdie.
The sun made an appearance when we were on 16 and by the 18th hole the fairways were drying up, so the course drainage is good.
Over-all the day was great. Cameron and the staff are always friendly and helpful.
We have penned in 4 more visits for this year. It would be more but it's a 175 km trip one way from home.
Last Day of Golf 2020
Quick 9 holes no backups and course in very good condition for November.
Great Course
Course is in great shape. Pace of play slow but due to just very busy. Course as become very popular. All staff very friendly and eager and willing to help and guide you through there rules. Love all the improvements that are being made through out the course.
A good test of your golf game.
Beautiful Nov. day in Norfolk County. Everything with check-in and starter went smoothly. Busy, but pace of play was good - under 4 hours. Course was in good shape and leaves were cleaned up - most of trees have lost their leaves. It was good to get out this late in season.
