North Granite Ridge Golf Club
About
North Granite Ridge Golf Club spans 320 acres of beautiful woodlands in the heart of Muskoka. The layout plays through large boulders and towering trees across dramatic elevation changes provided by granite ridges, hence the name. The greens are undulating and the fairways are quite narrow, demanding both accuracy and skillful course management. It is home to the longest par 5 in Muskoka at 622 yards from the back tees. The challenges of the golf course are complemented by panoramic views that stretch deep into the forest, providing some scenic respite. Opened in 1999, North Granite Ridge Golf Club is fairly new but it has quickly become one of the area's must-play golf courses.

Great course
Excellent condition, good challenge and a great outing at a competitive price.
RANGER
He uneccessarily suggested we let the 3 behind play thru whenwe were waiting on the group in front so were'nt playing slow
North Granite
Great fall day for golf. Sunny minimal wind good friends the course is almost irrelevant. However the greens were mint and fast the fairways in prime condition and layout very fair.
Beautiful
The course is not long but narrow. This punishes offline drives. The greens are tough but roll true and fast. I loved the elevated tees, every shot felt like a bomb. The staff were wonderful.
Natural beauty
Beautiful surroundings for a course carved out of the natural surroundings. Greens were fast but the views made up for it.
Decent Course in Muskoka
Played here with the wife on a deal from Underpar.
Found the course decent with some nice holes. It was challenging but fair. My wife is a beginner and the course was good for her.
Thought the fairways weren’t in the greatest shape. Might be because of the high water in the area and heavy rainfalls, but having not played before I can’t compare it to usual conditions.
The greens also had some rough spots which interfered with putting.
Staff was generally nice although we found it a little annoying that they asked us on multiple occasions if we had alcohol in our bag. (We didn’t). Seems to be an issue at the course I guess, and there was some sort of bachelor party teeing up behind us, but we don’t come off as the partying type I’m sure.
Definitely bring some top end bug juice because they were horrible, very annoying whenever you stopped moving and a nuisance when putting or teeing off.
Also, course is not a member of the GAO so can’t submit score to Golf Canada.
Overall, the deal we got made it a decent price but their regular prices seem a little inflated, probably because of the location.
Would play again if in the area, but only with a deal.
Nice!!! And tight
Play well here and you can play anywhere.
Was told it was tight, and it is, cut through forested and varied terrain. Not much water .
Some superb cliff top elevated tees but not much bail out room on the edges.
Leave the driver in the bag, hit it straight and it plays fair but several greens tilt severely so need your approach game to be good. Some of the fairway edges were dry, hard and bare but greens were excellent. Given the recent weather the course was well conditioned. Deep white sand bunkers were a treat to play out of and show thoughtful course maintenance. Carts, signage, and paths were well maintained.
Good value and much nicer ambience than other mid price tracks in Muskoka.
Tee off decks are beat up
Played the white tees which was still a challenge for a 15 hdcp. First hole is the hardest because the green is supet slow compared to the practice green and hard to read. Staff was friendly,
Not much grass on the tee decks. All beat up. Had to back up 10-15 feet to find grass footing. Layout is great.
Its gone downhill since i played it last year. Took 4 . 5 hours to play. Not sure of i wil be back again
Pace toooo slow
Started st 1:00 ..finished at 5:30
Way too slow....sorry ...this was the first time I found it took so long to play

The course is set in the Canadian Shield with tree lined fairways.
I enjoyed my first round here and I am planning on it a regular stop when on I on vacation in the area.
Greens.
Few quirky green, no drink cart, but over all good course
Best Value in Muskoka
Always love playing NGR. I have played several of the top courses in Muskoka, and NGR is by far the best value for money in terms of scenery, course quality etc. The elevated tees are beautiful with the rocky terrain of the Canadian shield marbled throughout.
