Richmond Centennial Golf Club
About
Situated just 15 minutes from Ottawa's west end, Richmond Centennial Golf Club is routed through mature woodlands, making it an especially scenic course to visit in the fall. The par-67 course is gentle enough for beginners and juniors, which makes it a great option for families. The golf course originally opened with only one nine in 1967. The front nine has remained largely unaltered over the years, but the back nine that was added later enhanced the course with several challenging elements. The contrast between the player-friendly front nine and the tougher back nine make for an interesting round. Richmond Centennial Golf Club is mostly flat though you will come across a few subtle but tricky slopes. There are also a few water hazards and strategically placed sand traps to watch out for.

Hidden gem
Always a great time on this course. The clubhouse looks like they're waiting for it to sink but I'll take a nice course with a lousy clubhouse all day if the price is right, which it is
Always a challenge
shorter course but difficult holes... especialy #12...tee shot has to be close to middle of fairway with water/hazards pretty much on all sides of landing area. Back nine has water hazards , tight fairways on all holes except #13.
#10 and #7 have single trees partly obstructing the tee shot- requiring a precise tee shot to avoid hitting the tree near or in fairway.
#2,#5 require precision tee shots to avoid trees near tee box and landing area. 2nd shot to greens not easy either.
So a "fun" interesting course for all levels of golfers. Begiñners should bring lots of balls..9
My Favorite short course
Never too busy and always in decent condition, Richmond Centennial is one of the hidden gems in the region. Excellent value.
Richmond Centennial
Course is in poor shape. Rough very long. Still very wet. Fairways full of weeds.
Great day
Very nice staff, course is in good condition even we had lots of rain. Like the back 9, little tight, have to place your shots. Greens in good condition
great deal
Always nice to play at Richmond. Great deal, course in good condition despite trying drought conditions.
Will play again
Short and easy
This course is a tail of two 9's. The first 9 is open and very easy, the second 9 is tighter with tree lined holes. The course was in good condition but the back 9 could use a new layout as some holes were quirky. Good value for the money.
open front 9 an narrow back 9...2 different 9 holes
was a 9 hole course with large fairways but a shorter course. A 2nd nine has been added with narrow fairways and plenty of water hazards - especially hole #12.. Challenging course for any golfer since site lines are a challenge on holes #2, #5 , #6, #10, #12 and mostly narrow fairways on back nine.
Value for money.
$8 for 18 holes is a superb deal. Back 9 offering something different from the front, with plenty of water to think about.
RCG
Great for Hot Deal price. Reservation was honored. We were allowed to tee off 1/2 hr early. Cart needs cleaning even if just with a hose. Club house is functional for green fees but not drinks or meals, its due to be replaced.
Beware if using Golf Now here!!
I normally only write positive reviews. But I had such a negative experience yesterday. I purchased a tee off time for 2 pm through Golf Now and paid online. I arrived at 1:35 pm. There was no one in sight on the golf course and no one in the parking lot. I was told that I would have to wait until exactly 2 pm before starting. I mentioned that there was one in sight but was told it did not matter. I paid online and there might be some walk-ons and they provide more money than what I paid online!!! There was no use arguing with the young lady at the cash and she was somewhat obnoxious about the whole deal. It was a really unfortunate situation and demonstrated real lack of judgment. It made me feel like a second class citizen for having used Golf Now, an app which all the other golf courses respect. Needless to say that I will never return to this golf course.
Richmond
Great course for people starting to play golf. Pace of play was very quick finished 18 in just over 3 hours with a beginner golfer.
GolfNow or not now?
They use GolfNow as a way to get people to the course, but you have to haggle the price. They try to charge more than what you owe them using GolfNow.
Course has a bit of everything
Front is nice and open and great or driving while the back is shorter with dog legs, water and thick marshes.
Good course good value!
Course conditions are very good when compare to previous years. Fairway conditions are fair with good greens. Back 9s are more challenges than front 9s.
Call ahead to make sure cart is available
This is not the first time I have had a problem with a cart I paid for through Golfnow at Richmond. The deal included golf /cart for 18 , they would not honor the deal as they were saving carts for a later tourney. I convinced them to allow me to play 9 holes with cart. Not impressed, everytime there is a tourney in the afternoon at this course they panic and dont allow carts for the earlier tee times. If you are not going to honor deals from third party sites get off Golf now and Executive golf !!
Great course
First time playing richmond, great course, staff was very friendly, front 9 is very open and long great for any caliber golfer, back nine mostly covered, quite challenging on a few holes, great course for the money would reccomened for any golfer!
