Always Enjoy :)
I always enjoy Bloomington Downs, the staff are friendly and for the $ it's a good course. Can't wait till the renovations are done and the new tee-blocks are up and running.
New tee boxes weren’t quite ready and some on the back nine were still not close to being complete. The course is in great shape otherwise and is going to have a completely different and more challenging look to it, when all Reno’s are done.
Extremely slow play
I have played twice in the last week and both times play was way to slow. 5 hours each time. There was no Marshall around on either day of the play. The snack lady was around a lot and that was better than previous years
Terrible round. They need to manage Tee times MUCH BETTER!
Do not recommend 4 groups sitting on 1 hole waiting. Pace of okay is terrible management needs to do much better job at spacing out Tee times and marshalling slow play.
Course was closed
I booked on Bloomington Down's online booking system (run by GolfNow). When I arrived the course was closed. I called the pro shop to ask for a refund and they said "not our problem, that's between you and golf now" and hung up. In the future I'll make sure not to use Golf Now for any future bookings nor will I ever return to Bloomington Downs. The level of offence the pro shop guy took to my (polite) question about the charge on my credit card was ridiculous and the unhelpful response was beyond rude. Even if he couldn't help there was an appropriate way to respond to me and an inappropriate way. He chose the latter. So I'll choose to respond by making sure I never return.
If you're going to improve the coarse don't charge $50.00
Holes 1, 4, 5,10,11,12,13,14,15,16,17 and 18 tee boxes are all under repair changing the distance of some holes by almost 50yds. I was either hitting off of dirt or a mat. To charge $50.00 for this coarse when it is in good condition is at best fair but in this coditioin is just ridiculous.

Nice layout!
Good value for your money. They have a nice setup for practicing your game. Can't wait until they finish all the tee boxes it will make the course so much tougher.
