Great course for money!
Course was in great shape, pace of play was awesome. Staff were friendly and very helpful.
Very nice course
Great staff. Very friendly and a coma dating. Course was in excellent shape. Greens are tricky. Played in 3 hours. Looking forward to going back.
Great
First time playing - great value on a hot heel
:)
Great course friendly staff bang for bucks
Worth the drive
Our foursome has been playing this course, 2 or 3 times a year, for several years now - even though it involves driving for about an hour, or a little more, each way (however, we always carpool). It is an interesting layout, with a great variety of holes. This time around I was particularly impressed with the conditions, given the long period of drought for most of this summer. Fairways good to excellent, and greens flawless. The bonus here is that there are frequently good deals through GolfNow.
Slow Play
This coarse is usually in great shape but with this hot summer most coarses have dried up . Fairways very dry and rough but the greens where very good and green. My friend and I went to the 1st. Tee And the starter asked if we minded playing with the 2 women waiting to tee off and said yes that is fine. A head of us where 4 men seniors playing from the back tees -- why I don't know as they where not long hitters . We moved along staying right behind the 4 some and waiting on every hole --- for whatever reason they did not want us to play through although there was no one in front of them for 2 holes . No Marshall this day..
Finally we skipped by them at the end of 9 and went to 11 --- smooth sailing from there on . My friend and I had a rest day playing with our 2 women now friends . This a great coarse to play as it has a lot to offer and for the price we paid on Golf Now was a true Bargin. So those players who play slow think of the golfers behind you that are waiting on every hole .
Yes we will be back as this is one of our favorites when the conditions are better
Frank & O
Wet at Wildwinds
First time here, i drive by it regularly on route to the office.
it was very busy, no starter or marshall and waited at at each tee. Group in front should have been playing from the blue or whites.
Course was in good shape a bit dry like they all are this year, but greens in very good and fast condition and with a lot of slope on most of them
Downside was a torrential rainfall during the 7th hole which left heavy standing water in fairways and on greens, so we packed it in. Staff cheerfully provided us with a rain check for 9 holes and looking forward to going back to finish this course
Some tight driving holes, and a few blind shots and sloped greens but if you hit the fairway the course is not punishing.
Played on a golfnow discounted rate so value was great
A hidden gem!
Wildwinds Golf - Best bang for your buck!
Windy Wildwinds
I can't complain much. I got a very good deal from Golfnow on one of the Hot Deals. It's a decent course. The greens are a little bit tricky and play true. Not much in water hazards which is good. Not a bad course to walk but it is hilly so a cart is not a bad idea.
Average
We were looking to play somewhere outside the city and this course was a good choice for that and price. However, on our 3rd hole, as I was setting up to hit from the ladies tees, I dodged a tee-off from a man hitting from the 10th tee. There was also no Marshall on the course and we had to wait about 15 minutes to tee-off at each hole because of other groups ahead of us. Because of that the round took about 6 hours- with just the two of us!!
TOO HOT THAT DAY
The day that I played, the temperature was in the high 30Cs. The greens were in great shape however, due to recent almost drought conditions, most were very dried out. Once they are able to apply water or receive significant rainfall, it will be much better to play.
Gotta play here
Great course for the money. Nice lay out and pace of play was good. Will golf here again
Decent track
Fun day out on the course all things considered--only caveat being on the 3rd hole. The marshall decided to take our scorecard out of our cart without asking, survey it, and proceed to tell us we should be playing from the blue tees. He warned us we would have been forced to if it were any busier despite our quick pace of play.
this course is very challenging
after you play this course you will you will see for yourself that this course is very challenging for the average golfer especially the green, they are true buy very tough, and the price is by far the greatest
Worth the drive
This was the second time playing this course, played last year and wanted to play again. Starter got us out early, after some friendly advice. Group of walkers let us pass and we enjoyed the rest of the round at a nice pace. Will be going back for sure.
Nice Surprise
Wasn't expecting much but was pleasantly surprised with the course layout. Should play from back tee's as it's a bit short and it's been dry so fairways needed water but greens were in excellent shape and challenging. Fun track !
Worth the drive
Interesting layout with many challenging holes. Some of the "easy" holes have very difficult greens so don't be fooled by the length of the hole. Course is well named - always seems very windy whenever I've played it. The course is in good condition and more difficult than the rating and slope would suggest.
This course is a good challenge
Course layout is tough especially to someone who hasn't played much here. Keeping the ball in play is important if you want to score well. Just getting on the tee and pounding out the driver isn't always the smartest move.
The course has great fairways
First time playing. Found the tenth hole to be fantastic.
I was there on a men's night.. got on just before and the pace of play was fantastic. . My best round in terms of personal play
