Played to its name, great test
A tough but rewarding course. Long fescue and some ponds killed any errant tee shots and made it tough to make a good score but fairways are generous. If you're on the short stuff the greens are sizeable and you can make a good score. Very open course so the wind really plays a factor on a lot of holes.
Course is in great condition. Good roll on all greens and tees are well kept.
Enjoyed the round and would definitely play again!
Excellent condition
The greens and fairways are in great shape. One of my favorite courses in the area. I would recommend this to any golfer.
Bunkers come into play on many holes and the greens can be a little challenging at times.
Great course for the money
We always enjoy playing this course. It has challenges but we usually play in under 4 hr
No longer caters to the members
Always enjoyed golfing here over the last 12 years however the management has gone from Good to Bad to Worst. The course remains good but I'm not impressed with the golf experience as they no longer offer the meals and specials that our group has always enjoyed. Always out of our favourite beverages. Lost their chef last year so there are no real meals offered. If you plan on a good lunch or dinner, find a local place. The new management lack social, lack smiles and make the golf experience cold, even on the hottest day.
Great course worth the drive
Started on time, finished in 4 hours, not being pushed or not pushing either. Good variety of holes, generous fairways but the greens are the challenge here. Can be some nasty pins on this course. Great value, would highly recommend.
Nice layout
Only issue was being told what blocks to play off.
Great course great value
Challenging course. Well maintained. Somewhat short, but the small greens will make up for that! Will definitely play again.
NIce variety of holes
Each hole has its own challenges and the variety makes it worthy of playing many times. The day we played it was not windy at all, but we have played when there was quite a bit of wind which adds another factor that makes the course interesting and challenging.
It's called Wildwinds for a reason
Fun Course. Staff was great. Not a long track but the relentless wind and ticklish greens sure make up for it.
It's a giggler.
Great value in a country course
Wild Winds is off the beaten track but worth the drive. A walkable course with challenging holes. Some elevation changes. Great value for the money. Fairways and greens were in very good shape. Exceeded expectations.
challenging at the tips
Play this course from the black tees as some Par 4s are short but overall I would love to play it again. It's early spring so expect wet spots on the fairways and trees are not in play yet. It you love link style golf then you should try playing WildWinds. Got a great deal with cart as well.
Super fun
Really enjoyed this course. Don't let the scorecard fool you, this track is plenty challenging.
Very good course
It is not long course. But you need to play smartly. It's kind of challenging. Very well maintained course and good for the money.
Nice day in the Country
With a little bit more upgrading this course would be a 5.
The vistas are great, rolling terrain very very nice.
Maybe they do not have access to more water, as the fairways could be plusher and the greens softer. No way you could stick a green, reminds me of dry South Carolina days, had to bump up on every green.
However, the greens ran true, very true, making long puts was very possible. The greens have a great deal of elevation change but once you saw the break the break was true.
If the time and money was spent to add more bunkers the difficult would go up and so would the slope.
I played blue but when I go back I will play Black.
My wife played White and had no trouble getting to the greens in and around regulation.
Back nine slowed down as we caught up to walkers, not good as there are no marshalls.
Short and challenging
Short but challenging because of fairly narrow fairways and punishing cabbage patch and fescue rough. Hit it into the rough and you'd he hard pressed to find your ball! Greens had been aerated so were rather slow. Pitching from the wrong side of the greens if you're on the wrong side would be difficult if the greens were faster. Review ratings gave a 4.7 but overall course conditions does not warrant this high of a rating in my opinion. Maybe a 4.0? Wanted to showere after the round but no clubhouse facilities.
great day
wonderful golf day, nice course. was great for my buddy and i, very friendly.
Wildwinds 08/31/2015
aeration made it ify on greens. course has an interesting layout, can be a very windy area, make sure you get a cart.
Buck Bang!!!
I play most of my golf between Milton and Parry Sound through the season and it's always a treat to play Wildwinds!! 6000 yds feels like 6400.........6600 when the wind is up!!! Even after rain for most of the day Friday, course was immaculate and well drained........greens true as ever. Thank you!!
Great Course
Excellent value for the price, difficult greens on a course which is very playable for golfers of varying abilities.
Great course
Great course for the cost, excellent condition and fantastic greens.
