Greens at Renton - Green Nine
About
The Greens at Renton, located in the southwestern community of Simcoe, offers three nine-hole courses that are played in three different 18-hole combinations. Although the nines are nearly identical in ratings and yardages, nine new lakes were strategically added when expanding the original 18 holes at the club and many of the existing holes were redesigned to increase the level of challenge. The Green Course is flat, making it enjoyable to walk. Some of the fairways are narrow and there are trees throughout. There is also the occasional sand trap. The Greens at Renton is also home to a well equipped practice facility that features an expansive driving range, practice bunkers, and a chipping green.

A beautiful course that is well maintained. Most fairways are fairly wide and the greens are fairly fast. Very enjoyable round.
First experience
On the 3rd hole the sprinklers came on and soaked me my group our clubs and my cigar. After 2 more holes we waited every hole after for the group 4 to finish get their toddler that was running around everywhere before we could tee off making play time very slow.
Renton
Overall good course; was not informed that there was a tournament going on before I booked. Pace of play was slower than expected
Fun course but pushed around by staff
Went with my Father for an early Father's Day gift and we noticed it was a bit wet from the night prior so we got there and were forced to walk even though we paid for a cart for both of us in advance. 2 hours in we see a tournament show up and climb into almost every cart but 10 of them and at the turn we went inside to request the cart that we have paid for already and was almost forced to pay $12 for the cart (because air booked online). An arguement happened and we ended up getting the cart half way through the round, but was disappointed that we had to fight to get what we had ultimately deserved without any reimbursement offer or anything. Overall the course was nice and well most likely be back soon but will watch the weather the day before also before booking..
I like this course
Always an enjoyable course. staff are first rate. Course was still quite wet from all the recent rain, not the staff's fault.
Fantastic shape compared to other courses
Great round at the greens. For the spring we have had this course was in the best shape by far.
Good work grounds crew
Nice golf course.
Course has three interesting nines that are usually in great shape. The staff are always friendly. It’s one of our favourite courses.
Wet
Price included carts did not tell us no carts until we arrived course said they told GolfNow. GolfNow only credited $5 per player
Nice course
Course is absolutely gorgeous.
It was fall when I played so a lot of leaf balls
Lol
Great condition for October
Greens are magnificent for this time of year. Overall great condition although somewhat wet due to recent rains.
Great October day for golf.
It was definitely a great day for this time of year. Took advantage of it by getting in a round of golf. Ideal temperature for golf at this time of year, but a little windy but acceptable none the less. The course was a little wet in spots but we figured it would be after a couple days of rain recently. The course overall was in decent shape. Lots of leaves in the fairways and on some of the greens but the maintenance crews were hard at work trying to keep up with the conditions. We got a great deal for our round off golfnow. I like this course so it wasn't their fault it wasn't up to normal conditions. Not sure how much longer the courses will be open but it would be worth the trip to play here before the season ends but don't expect it to be in mid season condition. If you can get a good deal it makes up for that. " Hit them long and straight"
A round with a snack
The Greens of Renton was a little wet from the downpour from the previous night but were still letting carts out except for the blue 9 it was walking only but all good still very playable. Bonus was fresh apples at the start of the your nine it was a nice touch except for the couple that seem to think all those apples were for them to take home. The Greens is always a pleasure to play.
Hidden gem!
This is one of the best courses I've played this year. The course is well maintained and in excellent condition. It offers three very well laid out and challenging nines. Extremely good value for for the money.
Great day for golf. Not sure what the starters are doing though. Just groups of 2 off all day with the occasional single. Maybe everyone is just anti-social and enjoys the 10 minute wait on every tee block.
