You get what you pay for.
The course was in fair condition at best. The fairways were patchy and somewhat dry. The greens were long, slow, not true and even short putts would be difficult to read/make. I could blame some of that due to being late in the season. The pace of play was slow, however, the foursome in front of us were obviously new to the game and it was painful to wait on every tee. Some holes are very strange (ie # 11 and 13) and the par 4's and 5's are very short. This course is "get what you pay for' and it is worth no more than $35.00 per 18. All in all I would play here again, but in the summer months where the course would be in better condition. (I would hope).
Nice
The first 9 was very scenic well designed, and as you start to hit the second 9 there are a few holes that you will never hit par on. unless you have been to the coarse before, there are a few holes that have dog legs paired with rivers and hills that cause you to gain extra strokes because you have no clue whats around the corner. very beautiful and a lot of cool holes, but a couple frustrating ones as well.
Has potential but needs some work!
The course layout is interesting but the overall conditions are very poor. Some greens are diseased and the majority are very slow due to poor cutting and not being rolled. The carts are old and in terrible condition. Constantly having to use the choke to get them to start!
The clubhouse is a dump and I would not suggest getting a hotdog or sausage, as the buns are always stale!

Course was very dry and balls would hit and run on fairways as well as the greens ....... this course has seen better times
poor tee time management and rude starting tee manageŕ
was delayed by frost which was ok but tee off marshal let his buddies jump ahead of people who were supposed to tee off before them including us . tee off Marshall needs to get rid of attitude when I asked a simple question. doesnt seem like like younger people. greens were in ok condition as well coursr layout is already ok. would recommend this course but friendlier staff would be nice.
Bad first impression
Was supposed to tee off at 10:12, was told there was a frost delay, and that pushed everything back 2 hours. Tee’d off after 11am, and had to wait at every single hole.
By the time 9 holes had gone by, it was almost 2pm.
I asked for a refund, but all they offered was a rain check. Normally, this wouldn’t be a huge deal, but the course was in poor condition, the holes are short, there is no marshalling beyond the starter, there was no drinks cart, and while I was walking the course, the motorized carts were in bad working order. Given how hilly the course is, I’d probably elect to use a cart next time, problem was, I saw nobody cleaning the carts and there were no dividers between passengers. When I returned my pull cart, the guy just told me to put it back in the corral.
I’ve golfed at nearly a dozen courses over the season, and this was by far the worst experience.
Decent price
Decent price and pace of play. Not an easy course to walk, definitely recommend getting a cart. Weather was perfect. Has improved since last year. We will be back.
We Asked for a refund. No carts, so we agreed to walk the course. We went to the tee box and were told we had to go back and wait after we were informed we could tee off. Marshall was rude to our group.
Surprisingly Good Shape
With the dry summer I thought BV would be in horrible condtion. Boy was I wrong. The fairways, tee boxes and greens were in good condition compared to many courses in the area that I have recently played.
Price was great but the power cart was a bit uncooperative. Nevertheless,, despite the frost delay and the corresponding backup it was a pleasant outing that actually took only @ 4 hrs.

Overall good conditions a lot of twosomes slowed play a bit still got round in 31/2 hrs greens somewhat disease ridden but still playable

SOME greens could use alot more work and TLC . Tee boxes in really rough shape. Players were not keeping there pace the whole game. Could have had Marshall's controlling pace due to poor golf etiquette.
ok round at a hilly course
Last minute hot deal at a course I never played before, not a long course but most holes are either from elevation or up elevation making it tough to walk . Fairways were greenish but most of it wasn't grass and many greens had browned out sections . Ok to play if you know what to expect or get a great deal .
