10th Hole Photo submitted by jgolfd on 08/10/2016
Good challenging course
Overall challenging but fair and rewarding course. Fairways in excellent condition, rough is perfect thickness, greens a little slow. Yardage markers are placed in the rough were confusing at times (expect them to be in Centre of fairway). Modified covid holes were decent however they could have adopted similar approaches as different courses where the ball still falls in the hole (partially) as opposed to blocking the entire hole with a pool noodle. Overall would definitely be returning.
Challenging course
The course are more challenging course and norrow too all my friend said will be to playing again soon
An Excellent Day of Golf
I decided to play Royal Stouffville as my first round for this unusual season due to the new norms. The course is so beautiful (of course after the delayed opening.) I was paired with an ex Senior PGA player Mr. Paul Villemaire and can't thank him enough for all the tips while we played. Both of us were appreciating the beauty of the well maintained course. Will be back again.
Glad to get out!
First day open due to Covid-19. Great day, staff were good, course was in descent shape. Greens were slow. The one bunker I did visit was in good shape. Noodles are a bit weird, but the course made us feel safe with the pandemic still going on.
Good way to start the “late” season
Had an early tee time and due to the new “rules”, I wasn’t sure what to expect. Check in was easy, carts were waiting and the starter informed us of all the new rules. We had two friends playing as a twosome as well but teeing off after us. The starter was great and able to arrange to have us play together. Tee times were kept to 15 minutes apart exactly.. We did the round in just over 4 hours. The course was in great shape as you’d imagine as the second day of the season, and we thoroughly enjoyed our first round of the year
Great value
Good value !
Has challenging holes. More difficult due to windy condition..
A lot fallen leaves on certain holes and difficult to find balls.
Frost delay
2 hours delay for frost with no notice ahead of time
A challenge course
This course is 6700 yards if you play at the blue tee,You have to make your driver go straight and far.The greens are kept in good condition.
Staffs are enthusiastic.
Terrible Management
Arriving at the course no one made us aware that they were installing cart paths so we were playing on a course under construction. While on the course one of the construction workers crested a hill surprisingIs and laid on his horn swearing at us to get out of the way. As a foursome we were regularly letting smaller and faster groups play through. Half of the golfers we passed had brutal attitudes which match that of the pro shop attendant.
Nice track
Solid little track, especially for the price. 18 with a cart was under $50 (weekday). Greens weren't super quick but well maintained no complaints. From the tips card said 6600, played quite a bit shorter but lots of tight tee shots from the back tee decks. Cart path was freshly paved which is a bonus. Shop staff and cart girl were super friendly. Would definitely play again.
Royal Stouffville alas pre- Maple of Ballantrae
Used to play and loved the Maple of Ballantrae golf course. First time to return after changed name. Still a good course, cheaper rate, well maintained and started paving the cart path (no more eating the dust from the cart in from of you). Pace was a bit slow but staff were nice and friendly. So overall we enjoyed the round!
Good value
First green could use some work. The course otherwise is in decent shape. I like the price per round and it usually comes up frequently on underpar. The staff all seem to be pretty attentive for pace of play.
This course is nice n challeging
This course is only 25 mins drive from Markham. A nice and challenging 18 holes championship course with quite some water hazards. Their 9 holes executive course is ideal for beginners who just started to play golf.
Tee up
Been golfing for over 20 years and playing from the blues was a blast . It was like hitting out a shoot , a bit of walk to the back each time. Course was in great shape and pace of play for our 3 some was perfect.
