10th Hole Photo submitted by jgolfd on 08/10/2016
Good value for money
Played this course before as Maples of Ballantrae. The corse condition has improved much with the investment of the new owner. Fareways are debris free and the greens are in excellent condition.
Always enjoy this course
Play this course many times and enjoy it. Wish the car path would be repair as someone will get hurt. One of the bridges looks like its ready to collaspe into the pond so be slow on it.
good value
the course this year is much better maintained and the renovation to the clubhouse is good
hot deal was amazing

Unfriedly staff ruined the fun
It is our first time to play in this course. Just to be clear, four of us are all new golf players in our second year in playing golf. So we were slower than some others. However, we encounted difficulties with the staff every step along the way.
At the starting point, the staff rushed us and told me to aim at the right direction. The course marsal tailed our group from Hole 2, then approached me on Hole 3 and asked me if I speak English. He ordered as to skip Hole 6, even though we offered to let the groups behind us to over take us. He sent one of his people to follow us, to make sure we did. The other staff took that example, and came along every the other whole to tell us to keep up the pace, even when we were waiting for the group in front of us.
It was not a bad course, maintenance is OK, the wheather is beautiful. But the very unfriendly staff ruined the fun for us. Not recommended for any one wants causual game for fun.
I’m sorry this ruined your day, but this can be the toughest thing for newer golfers to understand. On a crowded course, letting someone play through can only exacerbate the problem for those behind them. As you notice, pace of play is one of the things rated on this site, and I, as many others look to this before booking a round, so it does behave the course to make sure you keep pace with the others. There are plenty of really nice easier courses for you to learn on. Executive courses are made for this. Remember your golf etiquette, it’s as important as the game itself.
pace is very important
Slow pace is one of the biggest problems of this game and the intention of the marshall is right. But if they used bad language or presented a wrong attitude, it was their fault. If this wasn”t the case, then they were right. As players though (at all levels), always important to be aware of pace. If you are doing this, then nothing to worry about.
One of My Home Course
Starting the golf season, I make sure I play this course to prepare myself and elevate my level of play as the season starts. Used to be called Maples of Balantrae, the new name at least does not confuse from the nearby Balantrae Golf Club. Fairways and greens are perfect. Would be playing again soon.
easy course for long hitters.course in great shape
Amazing fall conditions!
Played what will likely be the last game of the season on Fri Nov 03 in the afternoon. Our group could not believe the conditions of the greens! They were in excellent shape for late fall, hardly a mark on them. A great deal of leaves on the ground making it tricky to find your ball at times. Great afternoon!
Perfect weather, aweful pace
weather was perfect, but the pace of pay was aweful. took over 5 hours to finish 18. course seemed to be overbooked all the time. the only time we played here that wasn't over 4.5 hours was on a cloudy/rainy day. will only recommend if you have a lot of time to kill + lots of patience.
Way over booked
Started round 35 minutes late, waiting on every shot, had paid for power carts not available unless we waited even longer. Surly individual in the pro shop, overall disappointment
need maintenance
it is a beautiful course with great layout and fun to play. well the course owner may consider to do a little maintenance investment to greatly increase customers satisfaction - use more road stones to fill the bumpy drive ways linking tee to tee, a very easy and low cost investment. currently these drive ways are so bumpy with water filled after a day of rain.
Very good experience.
