Decent value for your dollar
This was a decent course. Very wide open. It plays well if you have a slice. A few par fives that are quite long when played from the blue tee boxes. The one complaint I have is bring a cooler or book an IV after your round. You may be dehydrated due to lack of beverage cart. Also when you do see it, the selection is very limited..

GREAT COURSE FOR A QUICK ROUND.FAIRWAYS & GREENS VERY NICE. VERY IMPRESSED WITH THE MAINTENANCE STAFF. THIS COURSE IS LOCATED IN A BEACH RESORT AREA AND WOULD A GREAT PLACE TO GO TO GET AWAY FOR A FEW HRS.
A course for the thinking man...
We enjoyed the outing at Sand Hills but were disappointed that the clubhouse was closed and the dining facilities were locked on Mondays...it was busy enough to afford a staff for the dining room and bar area...and even the hotdog stand at the ninth hole was closed...I don't think that's the way to run a golf course especially in the middle of the summer in a resort area like Port Franks . The course was fun to play and in good shape ...and I liked the fact that you need a strategy to use more irons on the par 4's...not just drivers...a good day was had by all.

My wife and I played together. I course was in great shape. Staff was friendly. The pace of play was fantastic. We'll be back.

This course is a little far from our house but it is wort it! We love everything about this course!
Best bang for your buck
I love playing Sandhills. The course is always in good shape, great layout, pace of play is always great. Not a difficult course but a great feel good round. I highly recommend this course for the tremendous value.
Great day!
I booked on line at incredible price. The weather was perfect, the staff very friendly and accommodating specialy the Marshall who would give us pointers as where to aim to stay out of trouble on a few holes. It is a short course but very enjoyable to play and perfect occasion to use clubs that are ignored most of the Summer on longer course.
We will go back.
