The Golf Club at Lora Bay
About
Tucked away in the Blue Mountains, The Club at Lora Bay offers a stunning view of the Georgian Bay. The golf course was carved from the mature woodlands along the Nipissing Ridge, incorporating wildlife preserves and century-old barns into the design. The scenic course even features idyllic apple orchards along the fairways. While the rustic charm can be enchanting, don't let it distract you too much from the challenging layout. Numerous bunkers are strategically placed throughout and brooks and ponds come into play on several holes. The third hole is one of the toughest on the golf course. It is the longest par-3 with a pond that runs all along the right side from tee to green and trees and a tricky bunker to the left.

Aug 7th
Course was in great condition except for a a few bunkers that had not been maintained (no sand or extreamly hard packed). For those who don't use a golf watch or range finder there are limited distance markers on the course
Friednly and helpfull staff. Course Masrshel kept pace.
Would definately patronize again. Well worth the price of green fees.
Lora bay is in better shape than the last time we played here. Some of the holes were fairly challenging as the fairway can be tight with lots of bunkers. However more open holes provided a better experience for the high handy capper. Lunch after was very good.
Take a cart as some of the holes have a challenging walk between holes.
Yes we will be returning to Lora bay for another round again.
Challenging for the intermediate golfer
First thing, staff was very friendly and helpful.
The course was in excellent shape and the greens were super fast. A tough putting challenge for sure.
My only issue were the blind hazards around the course and hitting a green to find my ball had fallen 20 feet off the side of the green, living a tricky chip shot. Course knowledge would be helpful.
Overall, had a lot of fun.
It’s a type of course you want a second crack at now that you have seen the layout.
Top drawer
Excellent design, perfect condition, excellent pace and I shot my best game of the year. Worth the price- as is the Creemore Pilsner to celebrate on the patio.
Stunning!!!
The views are stunning and the course has a great layout. Unfortunately due to rain, the sand bunkers were out of play. Beer cart girl was friendly but we only saw her once on the ninth hole and we played 18. Server in the bar wasn't overly friendly either but the course and layout was fantastic!!
Course has been in better shape
Great course - disappointed at number of ball marks on the greens.
Premium Price for Average Conditions
We have played this course often going back to when they opened. There has been a marked deterioration in the course maintenance since 2019 with 2020 being atrocious. Course conditions were far better in July 2021, but a far cry from the premium course for premium dollars to play of yesteryear. Greens were mostly good but not consistent. Bunkers although plentiful haven’t seen a replenishment of sand in many years. We had to play cart path only and bunkers were out of bounds for our round, which makes for a lot of carrying extra clubs around. If Lora Bay wants to continue to charge premium fees they really need to up their game, as for $150+ with tax each, players should be entitled to a lot more!! Food was excellent and reasonably priced. Patio and service was wonderful.
Nice Day at Lora Bay
I have played Lora Bay a number of times. There is construction now along 2 holes and a lot of the trees have been pulled out.. but overall a lot of great holes. We wanted to have drinks and a bite to eat after golf but all of the tables had been reserved by people not playing, leaving no spots for people coming off the golf course. The pace of play was good for a long weekend.
