The Golf Club at Lora Bay
About
Tucked away in the Blue Mountains, The Club at Lora Bay offers a stunning view of the Georgian Bay. The golf course was carved from the mature woodlands along the Nipissing Ridge, incorporating wildlife preserves and century-old barns into the design. The scenic course even features idyllic apple orchards along the fairways. While the rustic charm can be enchanting, don't let it distract you too much from the challenging layout. Numerous bunkers are strategically placed throughout and brooks and ponds come into play on several holes. The third hole is one of the toughest on the golf course. It is the longest par-3 with a pond that runs all along the right side from tee to green and trees and a tricky bunker to the left.

Variation of the court layout most welcome
Most enjoyable experience course requires serious study of positional play to achieve a good score.
A challenge to good course management.
Thank you for the experience
An exceptional gem of a course
From the time of arrival until departure, this course has proved to give impressible over above standards. It was great being able to play a spectacular course in our backyard area instead of driving long distances to find one.
We are interested in membership.
Great location and scenery!
Great course, great staff excellent value for the money. Will play it everyday.
Stay in the fairway...
This course is a links style golf course. The rough is thick, and the bunkers are deep. One of the tougher golf courses I have played in the last few years.
We had a great time on the golf course. The staff were very welcoming and they had an empty tee sheet and we got to tee off 45 minutes early.
First class operation
Booked as a single, but starter fitted me in with two junior members on the 10th. Loved the course, played first 9 in under 2 hours and back nine in 1 1/2.
Found a few bunkers, but will play again.
Way overpriced unless you get a deal on Golfnow
Very nice course. Very challenging. Not many "easy" holes. Disappointed that the beverage girl had already called it a day by 3:30 on a Thursday afternoon. Would have liked a beer or two during our round. Not worth paying the standard green fees rate but if you can get a deal on Golfnow then it's worth it. Wouldn't pay more than $80 to play here.
beautiful, fair and challenging
Beautiful layout, lake vistas. Course is challenging and very fair. No gimmicks. Very enjoyable. Friendly staff.
Great course
Loved our time at Lora bay. Would. Play there again
Great layout. Bunkers come into play a lot.
As usual the course is in great shape. We love the layout which causes challenging play for the whole 18. The staff are always courteous and professional. We always enjoy the round at Lora Bay.
Great Course
The course was in excellent condition, beautiful layout with some challenging holes, nice setting just off Georgian Bay, friendly helpful staff made me feel really welcome, I have no hesitation recommending this course.
Very well maintained
i don't believe it is a $115 course,
But for $70 or less it is well worth it.
Premium experience with only a slight blemish...
The patio and dining room facility is spectacular, and staff was helpful and accommodating. Booked a half price deal for a 4:30 tee time through Golf Now, so the value for the money was decent. Course conditions were very, very good! Lots of room between holes, and some pretty spectacular scenery. Lots of bunkers guarding some relatively small greens, so expect your GIR stat to suffer! Some good breezes coming off the bay can can be challenging - particularly on a couple of the opening holes. The only negative part of the entire experience was that we completed the round at just past 9:10 and found the clubhouse and bar closed!
Lora Bay is one of those Must Play courses in Ontario. It's a beautiful McBroom layout - with fair risk reward involved in every shot. Very fun track!
I was worried this maybe a bit more course than I could handle - but truth is - its an amazing layout - fair, fun and gorgeous golf holes. Many great vista's and greens to hit.
Really a spectacular course - with great holes and super fine greens. Must Play!!
Lora Bay experience
This was our first time playing here and we had high expectations. The course is well maintained, the golf carts are like new and the club house is very nicely appointed but considering the cost of a round, the course itself is average in design and beauty. The staff were very friendly.
Course in great shape with views of Georgian Bay
My son and I had a great day at Lora Bay. The drive into the facility with the view of Georgian Bay in the background only heightened the experience. We found the staff friendly and accommodating; the pro shop well stocked and the warmup facilities in great shape.
The course was challenging at times although well placed shots were rewarded. An abundance of strategically placed bunkers made one think about club selection.
We would not hesitate to return.
Lora Bay is fantastic to play
Thanks to Golf Now we were able to play on this PGA worthy course. It is always such a rewarding experience to play @ Lora Bay. The course challenges you to play over and above your usual. Hole 16 I find the most challenging as you need driver but yet need to be subtle not ot hit it too hard.
A beautiful course
The pace of play was good, saw three deer, beautiful water hole of Georgian Bay, nice club house.
Great views of Georgian Bay
My first time at this course - found it very challenging - would like a yardage book to assist - will attempt another golf now round if available - very scenic and the 16th hole very demanding - overall rating 4 1/2 stars -
good times
had a great time course was in superb condition and there where no holdups.
Excellent course - challenging and fair
A first class course suitable for both low and high (<20) handicappers. Course management a plus. 5 sets of tee blocks so plenty for all. I played on the opening weekend and the course was in excellent early-season shape. Lots of bunkers but only a few holes where water comes into play. Highly recommended.
