About
Tucked away in the Blue Mountains, The Club at Lora Bay offers a stunning view of the Georgian Bay. The golf course was carved from the mature woodlands along the Nipissing Ridge, incorporating wildlife preserves and century-old barns into the design. The scenic course even features idyllic apple orchards along the fairways. While the rustic charm can be enchanting, don't let it distract you too much from the challenging layout. Numerous bunkers are strategically placed throughout and brooks and ponds come into play on several holes. The third hole is one of the toughest on the golf course. It is the longest par-3 with a pond that runs all along the right side from tee to green and trees and a tricky bunker to the left.

Once the back 9 has been redone as the front nine the will be terrific.
Makes it less fun when you move your ball from bunkerswand other areas to be redone.
Not in the best shape
Overall a good course but at the price of $170 I would expect a course to be in better condition.
Lora Bay Golf
It is a treat to play this course. Always in excellent shape. A little pricy but the views of Georgian Bay are exceptional.
Lora Bay - not ready for golf season
Sorry - but this is a great course that does not live up to it's potential. The greens were so super slow, that you could not putt on them, and while there is a bunch of new bunkers on the front 9 that are not in play, the old bunkers have been abandoned, and are unplayable. No marshal or cart girl to be seen anywhere, and no warning about the lack of amenities nor playing conditions. I would not play there for more than $100, as it is "lunch bag let down!"
Worst value for golfing there is.
How the course can charge $150 given its condition is beyond me. Half the bunkers are under repair, the other half are not maintained, the grass isn’t cut properly, there is no chipping and putting area. How can you pay $150 for a round and can’t even use the range until 30 minutes before?
Staff and conditions
I was very disappointed with the staff as they were pushing us to keep pace after our first hole, they need to be realistic with the timing. I was also surprised with the conditions, in the past years this course was incredibile with the way it was taken care of. As a resident I hope I can proudly promote this course as one of the best in the future..

What happened?!
I know it’s early in the season but it feels like the greens keeper gave up… or ownership is drastically cutting budgets. Maybe both.
The new bunkers will be great when done but then there’s so many others that are now just grown in. Felt like a $100-$125 course. Not $175.
I usually play 6-8x a year at Lora Bay. I brought 3 guests out yesterday and won’t make that mistake again.

The guys loading the carts and the gentleman in the pro shop were very friendly- but when we got on the course our cart notified us it was cart path only- don’t know why they didn’t mention that beforehand?
Also I think it was the 6th hole was completely under maintenance - unplayable - again nobody mentioned that ?

Lora Bay Golf Club
Great course with fantastic views and challenging hole make this a top notch experience. Staff are friendly and food is excellent. They are making course improvements that will make the course even better next year. I highly recommend playing here!
