Horrible 9
Uplands used to be nice a while back however the’ve pretty much given up on maintaining the course and it’s an awful experience hole after hole.
Challenging and fun 9 hole layout
Played Uplands for the first time ever. Course was is good condition (construction notwithstanding). Greens and fairways were in great shape. Only drawback was pace of play... it shouldn’t take 3 hours to play this course.
Great day
Uplands was a great course, challenging. very scenic long distance to 3rd hole because of construction and construction affected play on 9th hole.
Pricing was actually cheaper if paid to uplands directly instead of through GolfNow. $25 for an adult and $21 for a youth. Watch pricing.
All around awful experience
Didn’t tee off until 15 minutes after scheduled time because no Marshall was directing starters.
The course was under construction so 3 of 9 holes (aka 6 of 18) were significantly altered and nearly unplayable due to unwarned construction.
It started to pour as we finished hole 9, and continued to pour for 15 minutes while we tried to negotiate with the staff to give us a rain check (it’s questionable if we would have even returned to use it).
Apart from a few interesting elevation changes on the course, this round was a complete disaster and I wouldn’t recommend this $55 course (without a cart) to a soul.
Pace is very slow
They need a marshal. Second time in a row that I’ve had slow pace here. Group in front spent to long looking for lost balls. Overall it is a challenging course. Just need to move stranglers along.
No T boxes to indicate blue / white / red ? Why not ?
Playing for first time hard to know where the next hole was.
Some construction going on [ #9] through the hole.
4 groups together on several holes !!!!
Unfortunately worse than ever
It pains me to write negatively about uplands. I’ve been playing it the last 2-3 years and this is the worst I’ve ever seen it. It could be great again but I feel as though that time has come and gone. 48$ for a nine that isn’t fully playable. No t-blocks on every single hole except hole 3? C’mon. Details matter. Disappointed at best.
Short course
This course is great! It has a series of difficult holes with prominent obstacles. Some drives require precision to get down the narrow fairways. It has plenty of steep hills as well so it can get tricky at times.
I wish the course was organized a little better as some tee offs are next to the previous hole.
not a great experience
was very disappointed with my first experience here. the staff was quite friendly but my tee was behind 30 minutes. on top of that the people behind us were teeing off while we were still on the fairways. no marshall to help regulate the pace of play. on average there was 10 minute waits to tee off because we were always waiting for the group ahead and they were waiting for the group ahead of them. driving for one hole to another was quite a distance and dangerous on the front 9. most importantly was the course seemed poorly maintained. no tee box makers to tell you pro, men’s or ladies so our ladies kept guessing . i certainly wouldn’t golf here again nor recommend it to friends.
This course ought to be closed - very bad. I wouldn't play here again even if it was free.
You can only check in 10 mins prior to your tee off time. The kid who said he was the starter had no idea who was on the first tee box. 4 people waiting to tee off and no control over who goes next. The cart paths were beyond acceptable - take Gravol - yes, they're THAT bad. The greens were not mowed so they were extremely slow. The fairways are uneven and patchy in areas. Then there's construction - one of the Par 4 holes is now another Par 3. But the 18th hole takes the cake! Construction at the bottom of the hill with big water pipes lying across what should be your lay-up area make it impossible to play the hole properly. Get your act together or close down until the course is fit to be called a golf course.
Bad course overall
Felt very bad playing here. Waste of time despite being with best buddies. This is the second worst club that I played in Canada. The worst is Parkshore Club Mississauga.
Review
Course layout is not the greatest. 9 Hole course a complete 18 is playing the course twice. Cart is separate. Overall average at best.
