Good course
A very good course that is well maintained. Great greens and decent layout. Course was in excellent condition. Carts only Path rule is very silly. They should at least allow 90 through the fairway. This will improve the pace of play.
Great day of golf
My brother and I payed the lengend coarse, it was a fantastic pase for him and i .
Thank you for a great day!
Legends Course @ Woodington Lakes.
Fun course. Some challenging holes mixed with some ego-boosting holes. If you drive the ball well, you should be able to score pretty well.
Woodington
A great day, weather was perfect, not busy, course was in great condition, price through Golfnow was excellent. There are a few quirky holes and a few shots where you don't know whats over the hill but having played here before it was a joy. They could use a little more signage giving yardages to trouble ares but I cant complain too much. We had a great day.
Confusing
I have played this course since it opened. The course was in excellent condition. The greens, receptive and a nice speed. I don't understand how soany holes were cart path only. I read in a cart with a handicap golfer so we were allowed to go pretty much anywhere on the course. We never got any place that we thought required cart path only. Course was dry a ms in very nice shape. I think that because there are many severe slopes on the course they try and keep people from driving off.the path.
Don't p.o Char!
Mr. Alllards design has always made it a great track. The lady in the proshop? She gave worse customer service the a Carnie with a 3 day hangover!
Tee Decks were in very rough shape. Everything else was perfect(- the issues that come with fall golf on the greens).....
If you've never played it, make it a MUST. If you have, but haven't been in awhile....I'd put my $'s elsewhere!
Woodington is Best!!
This is an amazing course!
I succumbed to the hype and I wasn't disappointed!
What a great day!
Do it!
Good course for the value.
Legends is the more challenging of the two courses, but great to play.
The course in general was in good condition.
Recommend the visit.
Enjoy this course, but very slow play on weekends
Weekend rounds are beginning to be very slow. Booked round and Pro shop did not mention tournament teed off at 10:00. Last three weekend rounds have been over five hours long.
Greens need to be cut shorter. Lots of grass, perfect growing conditions, no excuse not to have quick greens. Starter and bag drop person was useless. Unload your bags yourself, carry bags to cart area yourself and place them on carts yourself. Course needs marshal, golfers lack etiquette, only think about themselves.
Great Place for Golf
Beautiful Course but the quality of the sand was very poor.
Brutal GM in Pro shop
Too many blind shots not knowing where ball has finished as many fairway landing areas are not visible from tee. No yard markers except 150. Absolutely no sand in bunkers. Tried one shot , cart pathway is softer. Club just bounces off trap surface. I'm a 6 cap so started to take unplayable if shots land in bunkers. Very sad because if they had sand and better maintain it would be a very good course. It seems lack of play means lack of money put back into course. Terrible customer relations in pro shop especially GM.
Won't go back
Many better courses that r closer to TO. No sand in bunkers. Terrible customer service in pro shop. We had a cart that would not make it up the hills , actually roller backwards on many and almost backward in creek on 18 th hole. Told pro shop about problem and the GM said straight up that the carts were brand new and actually suggested that we did something to the cart. I told her that she could come with me to the cart which was at the bottom of 18th as it died there. Her answer was she was on the way out and couldn't but was willing to blame the customer about the poorly maintained cart. No business sense on how to treat the paying customer in this very competitive industry . Would not recommend this course solely based on the pro shop personnel.
Needs work
The course has too many blind shots wherein you do not know where the green is from the tee box on many Par 4s and 5s . If you are playing it for the first time or it's been a while, you're questioning do I aim left, right, middle, where am I aiming exactly? Some of us are old school and like using blue and red stakes to measure 200 and 100 yards respectively. None to be found. You really need a GPS, or one of those Course yardage books, or a partner who knows what is in the blind spots, who can direct you. Many traps were lacking sand and your wedge couldn't get under the ball. To be fair , the Greens and fairways were in very good shape.
Well worth the drive!
Wonderful experience even though it was a little damp in areas. Love the layout and enjoy the variety of the holes. Well worth the drive from Toronto!
Booked Legends course online... Told we were playing legacy course when we got there... Legends was too busy??
Paying was confusing.
Majority of the course was good, Greens were brown...
