Woodington Lake - Legends
There was good news and bad news on this day.
Good news: I played by myself as a single and finished 18 holes in just over 3 hours - even though I played 2 balls for most of the round. Greens were excellent as usual.
Bad News: The course was soaked from days of rain and most fairways were fairly sloppy. Some holes bordered on unplayable. Absolutely no roll.
This is a tough enough track when it's dry but when it is wet and sloppy it feels like work !
Woodington - very good
Conditions were generally very good and the course played difficult due to the breeze. Only isasue was the temporary closure of the green on #18.
Starter
Rick the starter at this course is a great guy, friendly and makes the overall experience awesome
Great Experience
Always a great experience at Woodington Legends. Golfed here many times. Course has it’s difficulties and is always very well maintained. Organised starts and great Italian inspired food (both at the carts and on the patio). Always recommend this course to colleagues and friends.
Great track!
Today’s round was the balance of perfect weather and great company. The pace was OK, but was slower than I typically like. The course however was in impeccable condition. Greens rolled true. Sand was flawless and the tee decks (other than the par 3’s) were pristine. Courses like this are always a treat, but a great reminder that you get what you pay for.
