Challenging course
This a picturesque course with many blind shots making it quite difficult. The slope rating is high and accurate.
Hmmm
Could be a great course!!! Poor maintenance.
Unorganized check in. Seems like they were giving away other people’s tee times. Cart path doesn’t always lead you to next tee box.
Great course
The course has a tremendous layout with a great challenge. There was a bit of work being done on the course and many of the greens had brown dead patches. But all in all i would play again and recommend to anyone.
Great course
great course but check your tee time after you book it .The course had no record of my reservation had to show him my conformation to get a spot ???????
Beautiful day spoiled by slow play
I know it’s the end of the season, and I should be grateful to be playing golf in late October.
The course was great, the conditions were beautiful. Front 9 2hrs. Back 9- 3 hrs. NO Marshall. Fellow golfers it’s okay to pick up your ball after you maxed out at dble par. Do your part and keep the pace moving. No body in your group cares about your score and nobody in back of you cares about your score. If the hole got the best of you it’s ok, just pick up your ball and move on.
Wish there was a Marshall speaking those words to the group in front.
Excellent value for golf and food
Great golf course. I used to be a member of Devil´s Pulpit and this course is very comparable Better still is the food here. The pizza is authentic Italian. Try the sweet spicy pizza. Delicious.
Enjoyable round in the rain
enjoyed the course and will definitely try to play the course again. Having played it once will help. The score card is very helpful.
Could be great, but....
Greens were the best part, rest of the course is a little to ignored. The guy setting the pins the day I played after the condition, left you wishing you stayed home. At least half the pins were set like the 18th at your favorite Monkey Golf. Glad I tried it, but won't be playing the new course EVER again.
Many changes
Because of the ONtario Golf open the course is in prestige condition. Greens were true. Bunkers with shoe beach sand were an excellent addition. Keep it up
All show no go
Starter was fine. Teed off on time. First 6 holes were decent. No mention of GUR for the bunkers which were mud and had gravel trenches dig into them clearly in transition for upcoming Ontario Open. Things got bad approaching #7 with the pace clogging up like the 401 full of rubberneckers. Didn’t see beverage cart til #9 while waiting on two groups on fairway. Things got really bad on 10 when the threesome ahead of us played through the worst twosome i have ever seen on a course. These guys drove up to the green and ON the green several times with their cart. No etiquette at all. Would love to have reported it to a marshal but NOT ONE was seen on the course the ENTIRE round. Front nine took 90 minutes. Back nine took 150.
I tend to ignore bad reviews because it seems every course has off days. But if you’re reading this and golf now hot deal has you tempted to play this course, don’t. It’s an amazing layout but run terribly. I’ve played 85 courses so far in my life. This one is in the bottom 10 courses for worst experiences.
Nice Property
Woodington Lakes Legends course is an interesting layout with each hole quite different than the next. Not great for beginners perhaps, but they also have the more forgiving Legacy course on site. Intermediate to advanced players will enjoy The Legends Course.
Weekday hot deal is a bargain at $50-$60. Prepping the bunkers for the Ontario Open in a few weeks fixes up the only weak link this course had. (Legacy course traps need fix up sometime too). Pace of play was go as fast as you want...played 2some in 3:10...was wide open today. Friendly staff , well maintained turf throughout a beautiful property makes this place a treat to play.
Nice course
Course is in very good shape. The bunkers r unplayable for the most part . Very playable course not super long make good tee shot and u can score
