Legacy Course - Signature Par 3 8th Hole Photo submitted by u862699574 on 06/25/2019
Good layout, that is where it ends.
The conditions of the course were very poor. There are no amenities and very vague signage throughout the course. Your money is better spent elsewhere
Course
The new course was ok but we were not told we were playing on it .
Big issue the sandtrap were terrible there was no sand in them . This Is on the new course not worth the money. I would not reccomend it .

Needs much better bunkers and a few signs to help anyone new to the course navigate around. Excellent course.
Nice course
The course was in great shape. The pin locations were very challenging. I was treated like I was at a private course.
Woodington Lakes
Course was in great condition from tee box to green, staff was friendly, love that the scorecard had a hole by hole break down - this was great as it was my first time playing the course
Bang For Your Buck
The Legacy course at Woodington Lakes is a well designed course with some interesting features. The waste bunkers and presence of water on most holes makes for a round that requires thought at every tee shot, and course management on approach shots. The conditions were what I would expect for a golf course of this calibre - that is, the conditions were good, and I consider myself quite critical of courses. This being said, it is important to stay out of the waste, fairway, and greenside bunkers on this course, as the material needs to be refurbished/replaced. The waste bunkers are rock hard gravel, reminiscent of a cart path, and the fairway and greenside bunkers arent by any means light and loose, and they do have some sizable rocks.
One of the highlights was my ability to make use of the range facilities before and after the round without a cost - something most golfers who value their game would appreciate. There were empty buckets and balls to help myself to; this is a significant feature that will draw me to the course again.
Overall, great course with some challenges, 5 tee boxes on each hole catering to varying skill levels, and a nice property with ample quality facilities to utilize. Will return, would recommend.
Hidden Gem
Played the Legacy course. Greens are huge but very tough. Long bunkers/cart paths need some serious work. THERE NEEDS TO BE MORE SIGNAGE TO GET TO THE LEGACY COURSE. You can easily get lost trying to find the first tee. You can’t hit driver at the driving range. Overall it’s a nice course.
Good conditions
Enjoyed a great round of golf today at Woodington... course is in good shape, dry fairways, fee wet spots but it did rain heavy yesterday afternoon.... enjoyed the day...
Cudos to the Starter...great guy, organized, take charge and a nice guy to boot... starts you round on a positive note...
The layout and condition was very poor. The cart path is basically dirt. Nothing paved. Not clearly marked. Giant patches of dirt that are suppose to be bunkers..
For the price, very disappointing.
Woodington Lake... Tottenham
Enjoyable day of golf on a very challenging course. The Legacy course is not as scenic as the Legend Course, more open, less trees and scenery, but still very challenging with water and bunkers that test your game. Very enjoyable.
Starter was very professional, had everything ready when we arrived, was very polite and helpful. Yes...I would recommend this facility.
Beautiful course.
Course condition is good.
Green is excellent.
Cart path only and lot of dust.
We want to play again.
see you soon. lol
A New Course Worth a trial
The Legacy is a very new course but very picturesque. Lots of water and a bit narrow fairways. Due to rainy weather, it is still wet. The green is acceptable at this time of season and most are elevated and undulated. Length is from 7,500 yards to below 6,000 yards so lots of room to stretch your skill. Not many players today so no hold up and can finish in around 3 hours.
Didn’t expect much but.....
Have played a few rounds this spring at some courses that were really struggling with all the rain we’ve had, this course was in better shape than most. Greens are in pretty good shape, fairways are wet, but not as bad as some other courses have been for the most part. Would love to play this course again in mid-summer!
Woodington lakes legacy
Tee off 740, in the car 11am. Cool 6 degree for the day. Very wet but not the courses fault! Excellent place to play if you know the layout! I shot 91 and my pal 78..... will definitely play again before year end! We drove from Oakville to try something new and were not disappointed... we were in and out so I can’t even comment on the facilities.... My friend is a great golfer and always complains about some of the courses we play together but this one he actually enjoyed..... ( a 20 handicap doesn’t always get invited to play with the big boys) I play about 25 rounds a year and I think woodington is worth about 10 of those with the 1 hour drive
Legacy vs Legends
Played the Legacy 2 days after playing the Legends. Fell in love with this facility. Both courses are top notch. The Legacy is making a bid to host the Canadian Open in a couple years. The layout is a stadium style. The cart paths are Walkways for the gallery. Played the Green Tee's (6,800 yards) it plays short. Mixed in some holes from the tips (7,600) yards a combination tee would be ideal. Fairways are big and there is not much trouble. You can score really well here. The Legacy is much easier than the Legends. The greens are true but sluggish! They need to be sped up and are clearly healthy enough to handle it. Play both of these courses they are outstanding.
No scorecards
I like the course but it seems as though the new course is neglected a little. We got there and had no idea where to go to first tee. Signage is not good. When we got there no scorecards. Other than that course is nice and good shape.
