Century Pines Golf Club
About
Century Pines Golf Club features a lush, parkland layout covered in mature maples, oaks, and pines. The trees border the carefully sculpted fairways and there is mild undulation in the large, fast greens that can cause the occasional uneven lie. Water hazards come into play on 12 holes in the form of large ponds and meandering creeks. Several sand bunkers are also strategically placed throughout. Century Pines Golf Club's final three holes are the most challenging on the golf course, possessing the ability to either make or break your score. These demanding holes require deft approaches, especially considering the treacherous water hazards on all three.

nice course
Overall course was in good condition greens and fairways were in great shape. Problem was the pace of play. We played at 12:50pm on a Sunday afternoon and the round was 5 hours and 42 mins......
It looked like the course was double booking walk up guests and golf now guest.
One other concern is keep aware as you play ,many fairways connect with other holes and greens that you can be hit into from all directions. Bring a hard hat.................
I was pleasantly surprised
Course was in great shape.. it was challenging.. I'm a high handcapper..didnt play to well, but found the course fun.. used all the clubs in my bag.. and the price was great...
It shouldn't take that long!
Played on Jul 5. We knew it would be slow,, but teeing off at 12:21 and walking off the 18th and 5:48 is crazy.
Tee times must be to close together as the course was backed up on the second Tee! Never saw a ranger, marshall all day long.
Course was in good condition, no complaints, fairways were nice, greens rolled way and were quick in spots. Sand was ok a little shallow for my liking.
It's no wonder they relentlessly advertise deals, I guess most people just feel it's part of the deal.
I
This course made you think before bombing away!!
This was a very challenging course . with risk reward hole all over the place.. Made you think about every shot and what your next shot would entail.. Greens were fast and undulating so playing your ball on the green was very important .. easy 3 putts on some of the greens ..
Good mix long and short
Plays very well. We'll be back. I Recommend this course to new golfers and advanced.
century pines review
Course is in exceptional shape.
Playing from blue tees is a good test.
Staff are fantastic.
Starters very friendly and marshalls are great.
I wanted to sit but could not
We played behind a tournament so it slowed us down considerably. We waited on every hole 6 and onwards.
Sometimes there were two groups on a tee as we approached.
Having said that we finished 16 in 4:45 (got rained out for 17 and 18).
It seemed like a lot longer.
But while we waited on every tee there was not a single bench to be seen anywhere. Had to resort to sitting on the grass.
The course was in great condition.
The mosquitos were bad so take some DEET.
It's an easy walking course.
We paid $27 walking rate. So it is good value for that money.
ok
course has a strange layout and is confusing at times when it came to finding the next hole. Also the snack bar and bar area had only 1 girl working there trying to cook hamburgers and serve beer also at the bar? Ridiculous! On a Sunday and a father's day also. Will not play there again.
very enjoyable
Had a great day to play weather was great course is very well maintained a good challenge from the tips
6 hours for 18 holes
Never again. Don't waste money on a cart - $20 a person to ride a cart when everyone walks - because they try to cram so many golfnow deals in
Good condition, but slow play
The course was in good condition, but due to a tournament that teed off 2-1/2hrs before, the course was playing slow. The marshals were good as they let me play the front nine twice to help speed up play as there were 4 groups on the 9th hole.
A good overall course with some challenging holes that require shot placement to allow for a clear shot to the green.
Unfriendly staff and poor customer service
We where the first tee off and was told that 90 degree rule was in affect, so we rented carts. After the fourth hole we were told cart path only. So after our round we went in and complained that if the cart path only rule was in affect, we would have walked. The course manager said we should have come back to the pro shop. Really!! Come back in the middle of play to return power cart and get our push cart. Needless to say we were not impressed and don't plan on going back anytime soon.
First time
Very nice course not too difficult. Only real issue I had was they teed everyone too close together so you were waiting to tee of every hole and a lot of times waiting to take your second shot. Made getting a decent rhythm difficult. I will not play here again just because of all the waiting I paid to golf not to sit and wait to shoot.
Great value for money
Had an awful time, courses should not scheduled tee time when they know they have tournaments. We found ourselves in the mist of a tournament
disappointing
I was expecting more from a Kaneff golf course. It was very slow and the Marshall was not doing his job.
Nice Course, But No Respect For Players
I am not the type of person to write reviews. A good course and a bad course are very personal things. What I like may not be the same as what others like. That being said, I think all golfers can agree that common courtesy from the golf course staff and maintenance crew is expected by everyone.
I was playing a hole and there was a maintenance crew filling divots during our approach shots to the green. When we asked if one of them could move so we could take our chip shot, we got nothing but attitude from the grounds keepers.
On the next hole we were teeing off with a riding mower doing circles around our tee box.
15 years, never experienced anything like this. The driver of the mower had not respect and when asked if he could stop and allow us to tee off, the old guy gave us attitude and drove down....the fairway...and parked in the landing area of where we were driving too.
Never again, will we play this course.
Century Pines
Enjoyed the course, we had a 2:15 pm Tee Time.
The course was busy with other players, however the pace of play was good. It was groomed, greens in good order.
The only issues with the course is that 3 or 4 holes are laid out poorly, too short for par 4's. We played the Blue tees. #'s 4, 10, 11, 12.
Century Pines - a Hidden Gem
This is a great little course that I would return to. We have played it a few times. It offers a number of challenges for those that can play from the tips. It is very well looked after and nicely laid out. We have taken advantage of the discount rates on Golf Now a couple of times and paid $50 for a round with a cart, an incredible value. As we live in Burlington, it is not too far a drive. Our only concern was the recent frost delay that backed up play a good hour. It was a 5 1/2 round and getting cold. Other than that, it is a great course that I would recommend.
7 minute tee times?!?
Really; 7 minute tee times. Course was jammed. Pace was unbearably slow even for a Sunday. Will not go back.
Wish someone would have advised me of pace of play prior to booking...
Terrible customer service
Had booked a tee time through golf now for 11:30 once we got there they told is they were backed up and would tee off at 12:00 another group was ahead of us after returning to tee off guy at front said they had a an 11:30 tee off and we had an 11:37 tee off. This isn't the first time this has happened here. I feel as if they over book constantly. Oh and it took us 5.5 hrs to play
