Twenty Valley Golf and Country Club
About
Located in Vineland atop the scenic Niagara Escarpment, Twenty Valley Golf & Country Club takes its name from the 20-mile creek, which comes into play on a number of holes, that carved the valley that runs through the golf course. The idyllic, rolling landscape provides plenty of dramatic elevation changes that cause tricky uneven lies throughout. The layout features large, undulating greens that are known to move fast and several strategically placed bunkers. Twenty Valley Golf & Country Club's signature hole is the par-3 13th, which plays uphill and over the Twenty River to a medium-sized green that is precariously perched on top of a stone wall.

Disappointing
The pace of play was very poor. There was no marshall on the course to monitor the two junior golfers playing ahead of us. I was a member of this course for many years and it is disappointing to see they have still have not resolved such issues.
Great Course in great condition, FAST Greens
I have played this course a couple times in the last few weeks, I had not played it in 25 years. I always loved it then and I still love it now. Your name and Tee time on the front of your cart is a nice added touch.
A MUST PLAY!
Course is in great shape, staff was helpful, pace of play great - a must play several times a season.
Great condition
Pace was terrible. Theee holes open ahead of group in front of us .Marshall out but just sitting in the shade. Try to get his attention but ignored us.
Great Value
Played after club championships, which was nice as we played on very fast greens. Excellent course conditions all around, and a nice variety of holes. It was quite busy in the early afternoon, but pace of play was right around 4 hours which is fine. Only got backed up on the exciting 18th hole. For $40 with a cart tax in, it's hard to find a better value.
Simply a nice 1970's Style Course
If you are looking for a real nice park land style course; with a 1970's-ish vibe to the design; this is your place. Lots of mature trees; nice greens, nice soft sand, great layout, great flow...super-friendly staff, pleasant marshalls. A real nice day out.
Brutal Slow Pace
Nice Course but,
2 foursomes already waiting every time we came up to the next hole!
cant believe how many beginner golfers out there at peak time on a Saturday trying to learn how to golf?
Marshall just drove around, didn't control the pace.
very disappointed!
I would like to play it again on a weekday, hopefully quiet?
Love this course
This was first time playing this course, but definitely not my last. Saw it on golf now and read some of the reviews and I'll try it. My group and myself were all pleasantly surprised how beautiful and well maintained this course was. From one thru eighteen and tee to green we could not find anything to complain about.
Not Bad But Not Great
Before I go against the grain, I will grant that Twenty Valley does sport a unique challenge tee to green by using the guiding treelines, elevation changes, OB, wind and force carries for the avid golfer but definitely not for the walker nor beginner.
First and foremost, the conditions are extremely firm. The greens are conveniently concrete so that you will never make a ball mark; a time saver.
Note: the greens are inconsistent!!!
I don't mind the fairway being hard, it's great for distance but horrid for iron/wedge/short game play. I personally like to make flush dollar divots and well this isn't the place for it. Sweepers of the ball will do well though.
Good things, the sand is fluffy and consistent. The rough are recoverable which I appreciate as I was able to advanced shots with a 4 and 7 wood which I never do so this was a first.
Secondly, I remember why I avoided weekend play at Twenty Valley; utterly slow pace. 4 and 1/2 + hours is borderline for some.
On a personal note, I felt bad for the high handicappers in front of us as they got harassed for slow play. Too much ego on this course.
PS, the member who mentioned that courses should not have adjacent holes, doesn't the first 4 holes all nestle each other nicely?
Enjoy.
Hidden Gem
This may be the best-kept secret in Niagara - private club course conditions but available to the public cheap. Beautiful scenery, interesting holes and the best greens I have played on in a while.
Great course
Course is in exceptionally good condition. Fairways and greens rolled. Definitely recommend playing.
Always happy to
My son-in-law from Nova Scotia has this course on his "must do" list each time he visits so I'm always happy to go along. Great course, great staff and great weather
A Great Value compared to other Niagara Courses
Please find the following:
1) Staff - everyone extremely friendly
2) Pace of play - 4 hours and change.... awesome for a morning tee-time
3) Food - We had breakfast, great value. We both ate for $15. The food was above average.
4) Greens - EVERYONE was in excellent condition even though they had been recently sanded.
5) Fairways - Soft, not ROCK hard like other courses I wish I could name here.
6) Facilities - Nice clubhouse with view of 18th. Excellent practice including chipping, driving and putting.
7) Layout - Great, only a couple of tees adjacent to greens, only one fairway adjacent to another such that an errant shot crosses fairways. The way a golf course should be laid out!
I am booking another tee time via golfnow and thought I should add this review for your benefit.
The Valley
Very well kept course where shot making is at a premium, helpful and friendly staff made this round a pleasure. Tip.. you don't need a driver on a lot of the holes, play for the fairway instead and avoid tree trouble,it will pay off on your score card.
Great Course, great conditions
Played here with a few friends in 4 some. It has been fairly dry and the course was still very green. Green speeds were very good. The cart girl was brutal she just sat at the first hole over the road (I believe it is hole 5). Only time we saw her all day. Overall I would play here again. The cost and conditions are worth every penny.
Why did I wait so long?
I just had the opportunity to play Twenty Valley for the first time. What a terrific experience it was. I had heard of this hidden gem years ago, but had not taken the time until yesterday. What a shame I had not played it sooner.
It truly is a hidden gem. Very well manicured, with excellent greens, perfectly tight mowed fairway, light maintained rough, and excellent traps. This course is a must play, and should be on your bucket list.
Tie it in with a local wine tour, and you will have a great little getaway experience.
Take the time and make a trip to Twenty Valley, you will be happy that you did.
Nice Day
It was a beautiful day for golf and the course was in very nice shape. It was quite wet in spots as there was lots of rain the prior two days. The course is not overly difficult, although, you must try to avoid the rough as it is fairly long and very difficult to hit out of. Greens are receptive but much more difficult than they look. Lots of little ridges that are hard to detect.
Overall, an extremely nice place to play golf for the novice as well as the more experienced.
Great course.
First time there and will go back. Friendly and helpful staff. Toasted western sandwich was awesome. Worth the 1hr+ drive.
Great coarse!
Great coarse! Great value and excellent condition. Played it twice and can't wait to go back!
Some interesting par 3's
Overall a good challenging course, challenging par 3's and good elevation changes
