Grey Silo Golf Course

I arrived (before my paired group) and was told there were no more carts available only to see everyone in my group with a cart.

This course is extremly long and dififcult to walk (and I walk my home course five days a week ... and it's pretty long). Crazy long walks to one, two and 18.

Driving range facility and chipping greens are not very well maintained (balls are new and shiny though). Driving range is super short and you are hitting uphill ... bizarre.

Two of the people I was paired with were late so the starter made us wait unitl another pair was ready (becasue she said we all had to be foursomes) and then let a twosome go out behind us.

There were at least twenty people waiting by the starter ... way too many during Covid times. The starter complained about it but did nothing to rectify the issue.

There appeared to be marshall types all around the course but didn't seem to be making an effort to keep the pace moving.

Great round at Grey Silo with a coupon from Golf Now. However, the coupon was supposed to include a free basket of practice balls, and the pro shop staff charges us for them. Lack of clarity around use of coupons and lack of concern for respecting the coupon on staff’s part was frustrating.

Great day, great course, great satff...

Super hot and group ahead played from the tips and were slow and complained but overall, one of my fav courses...

The staff was friendly and informative. I was matched up with 2 other singles and our round started a few minutes early. The pace of play was very good. (3hrs. 20min) The course was in great shape, with true and quick greens. I can't wait to play it again.

Course was in great condition and moving well., Always a great place to play. New Covid-19 cart fees seem very high.

3 of us braved the terrible weather today with light rain and windy conditions. The staff were fantastic and were open even though it’s was only us at 1040am out there. The course is in amazing condition and it was just us and the many deer all over. The weather held up and the course drained very well the greens were in great condition.

Nice course with plenty of wildlife and scenery. The layout is awesome. The only reason I didnt give this course a perfect rating is because of the condition of the greens and the tee boxes. The greens were very slow and a little long. The tee boxes were under maintained. Hopefully this changes later into the season. Thanks for a great first round of the year Grey Silo!

We are lucky to have Grey Silo in our city! It offers a great challenge to all levels of players, it is always well kept and the staff is very friendly and takes great care of all your needs

Course was ex for this time of year. No leaves which is great for late fall.

It was the best golf course I've ever been to Canada.

Teed of at noon as a twosome. Round seemed slower though we played in 4.5 hours. Foursome in front were slow. No Marshall on course which was surprising for a Saturday afternoon. Course conditions were very good other than the greens were quite beat up. A number of unrepaired ball marks were on each My playing partner’s ball was seriously affected when running over a few poorly repaired marks. I dwell on this as it was the only serious problem.

Played the gold tees and they are quite demanding despite a lower than expected slope rating. I think this is a course that would benefit with a hybrid gold/silver series of tees like some other courses now provide.

A in all a 4/5 round. Good value for the money.
