Boo to golf north
This course could be the best pull luc course in town.... Except golf north owns it. Later in the year the fairways are so chewd up you can expect to be hitting out of divots all day.
Staff is great, bunker sand is horrendous, greens are quick but no one fixes ball marks.

Frost delay 3 hours, grey silo arranged a round at their sister track, rebel creek, short drive, so the review is for rebel creek, great staff. Great track
Bad starter alignment of golfers
Course is always a joy to play
It was very busy with back to back 4-somes but starter decided to plop a 2-some ahead of us. We ended waiting on every shot.
Overall course in great shape
Slow pace
We have played this course for many years several times each year, however the pace of play at 4.45 min is unacceptable and as well the greens were in poor shape. We would have to think twice on playing this course again.

Looking to play in Kitchener-Waterloo area? Don't miss out on this municipal golf course that runs along the shores of the Grand River. Interesting layout, memorable holes, 4 tee boxes and superior conditioning.
Greens in poor condition
The greens were in very poor condition. The sand was like it was brought in from a local beach with lots of rocks. Golf north has officially ruined many local courses in this region.
The course was in really good condition.
Conditions were good. Finished the round in a relaxed pace in 3 and 1/2 hours.

nice challenge
I would have scored the course higher except that the greens were aerated and we were not informed before hand, therefore it was a little tricky putting because it was not true. The rest of the golf course was in really condition and all of the staff that I interacted with were very friendly and helpful.
Grey silo golf course
We were very disappointed with the condition of the course. Grey silo golf course had just aerated the greens and the greens were unputtable. Totally ruined our round. They also had no marshallers on the coures and the pace was extremely slow on a very hot muggy day. I feel that Golf now should have informed us that the greens had been aerated at Grey silo because we would never have booked the course. I feel totally mislead. I think I should be refunded my money. Not happy with golf now or Grey silo.

Extremely friendly staff. Got there early and was able play right away.
Bunkers
Terrible bunker rule that you are to pick up your ball, rake a nice spot, put you ball down, and don't rake the bunker after your shot. The bunkers are full of stones and are not consistent throughout the course. Would expect better considering the price. Greens are nice though.
NIce course......challenging but fair
Always a pleasure to play at Silo. Course is in decent shape except the greens are a bit rough. From the Greeter to the Starter to the Pro Shop , all staff are very friendly and accommodating. I'll be back for sure.
