Rusted Rail Golf Club
About
Rusted Rail Golf Course, located about half hour or so southeast of Dallas, has a new name and a new look. Formerly known as Creekview Golf Course, the facility was purchased in July 2017, then renamed and renovated. Reopened in August 2018, Rusted Rail unveiled what is essentially a new golf course with renovations on its 36 bunkers, new Champion Bermuda greens, a new irrigation system and vastly improved conditions, including new cart paths and restroom facilities. Designed by Dick Phelps in 1995, the course can play from around 5,800 yards to more than 7,200 yards. The layout features mature oaks lining many of the holes with elevated greens and mounding. The course also has a stream running through the middle of it as well as ponds that come into play on about a half dozen holes. Additionally, the clubhouse has been completely remodeled and expanded to around 17,000 square feet.

I broke 90
The first time I played this course I broke 100 now 90 I think I need to come every couple of months to hit my PB. Greens are a lil bumpy but forgiving and it just stormed pretty bad, but still had fun.
Greens Were Not Good
The course has lost or is losing their greens. The course should not have charged anything over $60 for green fees, even on weekends. Layout is always good, the pace wasn’t bad teeing off at 8am.
Greens in terrible shape
The greens are the worst I have played in Dallas yet. The staff was very friendly but they let the locals just do as they please. We had a group just jump on the back 9 in front of us and had no courtesy. 4 of them only me playing and they refused to let me play through killing pace of play. Definitely not worth an $80 round, you can get much better value for your dollar at other courses around Dallas.
$65 dollars was way to much for the course conditions!
The greens were horrible! You should not be charging $65 on a Friday with the way the greens looked out there!
Not worth the money
Course conditions were pretty disappointing. Multiple tee boxes under repair and putting on dirt greens. Might be better in a few weeks once / if the greens come in but definitely not worth the cost of admission right now.
Great Course - Greens need work
The course is in overall decent condition with the exception of the greens. They’re bumpy and have about 4 different kinds of grass at different stages of dying or growing in. It was horribly inconsistent. I’m know greens have to grow in, but for the premium price, I’d expect better greens. All that said, it’s still a great course and I’ll definitely be back…after the greens have time to grow in.
Worse greens in Dallas
Not sure why but these greens were absolutely terrible. Look and feel like they died over the winter and no attempt has been made to get them back. Also, they don’t tell you this. They gladly take your $75 and then you go out to nightmare greens. Course could be good, if taken care of, but I’ll never go back.
Fun course
The course is fun and can be nice. The greens are in bad shape hopefully when the grass starts growing it will get better but for the price i expect better. The locals will play 5-6 people and takes 5 1/2 hours to get a round in. The staffs great. I will give it another chance late spring see if it’s better
Course isn’t in the best condition, greens seem nice from a distance but once you walk up it’s full of weeds and little to no grass
Crandall Golf
Course is in great condition. For some reason , group of 6 was allowed to play and really slowed down the pace of play. I mentioned this to the folks in the club house but nothing was done about it
