The course needs work
Staff was great. Course needs work. Nice layout greens just ok that also need work.
Great Golf Course but you will be rushed
Overall we had a great time, however course Marshall rushed us on several occasions. Constantly stalking us. Would’ve been a 5 star experience otherwise. Not our fault the starter allowed incomplete groups to start and decided to let a group of 2 people get behind a group of 4. Course is in great shape.
Wonderful place
Was an amazing course to play on. Gentlemen’s at the front was very attentive.
Decent value
I do enjoy the layout. Greens are in pretty good shape considering the hot, dry summer we had. They have a few bad spots that are healing, but they were receptive to approach shots, and putts rolled true. I was pleasantly surprised.
Golf
Everyone is nice except the old man that made my buddy rent clubs for no reason he doesnt play golf but assisted him wasting 40 bucks on rental

Course is a way out of town!!!
Driving range balls are bad
Pro shop young man was very unresponsive towards questions

Overall course conditions were not bad
Had some grass growths on greens.
Fairways not ideal!

Average
Course conditions were not ideal after dry summer. Patchy fairways and green side areas. Greens recently aerated. Bunkers were actually in pretty good shape after decent amount of rain in the past week. Price is right and I played in 2:30.
Decent Value
The course layout was interesting with the trees and houses lining most holes, but the greens were not well kept, some having very large dead spots, and greens speed was not consistent throughout all the holes

Really enjoyed playing this course - with the heat wave and drought that we had I was surprised at how good the conditions were and the greens were fantastic and true to putt on . I will be returning to play in the near future ! Hats off to the course superintendent !
Stonebridge Crosby, TX
Very nice golf course. Well watered and green. The layout is fun with many doglegs. Hole 18 is really nice with an island green. I will play it again.
Great Place to Decompress
Some courses are very stressful. That seems antithetical to the idea of a golf outing. Newport is laid back and worth every penny. The fairways have held up well considering the sever heat and drought of this past summer. The greens are fast and consistent. Kudos to the course managers.
I gave the driving range 3 stars. The balls are varied and old. It could use a bit of TLC. The carts are clean and included in the price. This lends to a friendly pace as you rarely find walkers. The staff is very friendly and the beverage cart appears regularly.
I will be back as much as my spare time allows.
Good layout, drought condition
Tee boxes and greens are the only thing they are watering. Over all course was in ok shape considering but there was some cracked ground and things were very firm everywhere.
