Falcon Valley Golf Course

So first all, I played this course often. Staff is great and the course is always in nice shape. Biggest problem always at this course is that there is never really a “starter” and never a Marshall on course. There were up to 3 groups on 5 out of the 9 holes today and at one point 5 groups between 2 holes. Pace of play was close to 3 hours for 9 holes. This will most likely continue considering 3 area courses have decided to go private within the past few years leaving just a couple of options in W. Lenexa for public golf.

Well kept course. Unfriendly staff and patrons. Consists of old, white inconsiderate staff and patrons. They had a 5-some of 80 yr old men in front of us that took forever that never let us play though or even acknowledged we were waiting. The staff workers didn’t wear face masks (even the food bar area) though it’s a county/state requirement . Took forever to check in even after I paid online. The patrons are rude and entitled old white guys.

The course is in great condition and is definitely enjoyable for all golfers

Great course. The staff was amazing. The 2 actual owners of the course are on site and 2 really good guys. The bar staff was fantastic. We played early afternoon and finished up right before a men's night started. Enjoyed the people so much we went to dinner and came back for drinks just to hang out some more. Sarah the bartender was awesome! Great place and can't wait to go back again.

Great course, club house and staff. Cart was extremely clean and was a smooth ride as well. Just a great 9 hole course in a very nice area.

I play this course a lot. Usually early early on Mondays. It’s fun from the whites. Challenging from the back two tees. Need straight drives. Staff is really laid back and easy to get along with. They work hard to keep things in shape. It’s late July and the course was well managed.

Weather was hot but the course was in great condition love playing at this place

Good course. Wish they had a drink cart as it was over 90 degrees.

Busy afternoon, waited every shot. Greens were very feast and very beat up.

Nice track. There are a couple holes where you need to think about b what club you should tee off with. Great greens reminded me of what good putting felt like.

My son and I had a good day to play (80 degrees, partly cloudy) with a slight breeze from the east. Play was smooth it took about 2 hrs 15 min to play starting at 10. The course is challenging winding through tree and residential lined fairways. We had a good time and the staff was very accommodating. For a nice quick jaunt of golf it is a good choice.

Play 9 or go around twice for 18. I play one round from the whites and a second round from the blues. Water or sand hazzard on every hole except one. Fast and true greens. The course is in excellent shape. Every hole has a personality. Small, but nice putting green, no driving range.

Excellent use of terrain. No 2 holes are alike so good variety of club usage. All clubs in bag come into play

Tees off at 6:30 as a solo with a solo in front and one behind, knocked out 9 and was back in my car by 7:35. Course is in excellent shape and has enough variety to keep it fun and give you some challenging shots.

I mainly go to Falcon Valley because of how close it is to my home and within the last month or 2 every time I have been out, they staff has been extremely rude. I have had tees moved in the middle of teeing off, multiple holes re-holed in the middle of chipping, course management has just been overall rude to us as of recent. We have had larger groups in front of us and even a pair and they come by and yell at us for pace of play. Mind you we can only move as fast as those ahead of us especially if they’re not letting us play through.

I took my family golfing at very late twilight time to keep them out of the hair of other golfers (6:40 p.m.). It's really just my wife and I, and my oldest daughter putts around a bit. I paid for two 'twilight' rates and an extra cart rider. We played 9 holes in 1.20 minutes. When we prepared to make the turn, we were confronted by the manager and told we 'most certainly only paid for nine, and he has seen every trick in the book.' I was totally taken aback, as we paid 80 bucks for two people to play 9 holes... I tried to ask for a verification of my rate, but was met only with more accusations from the staff member. He made me feel like I was shoplifting...which is absurd... I had genuinely inferred that (as most legitimate golf courses do) they only have a twilight rate, and not a 9 hole twilight and an 18 hole twilight. I was totally surprised at the aggressive, angry, presumptive, and dismissive candor of "Jo" the staff member who accused me of attempting to somehow skate by another nine for free. I'm certain I will never play this course again, and will never recommend it to another golfer. If the rates he argued with me about are true, this is amongst the worst value of golf in the Overland Park are. At worst, we would have played two more holes before dark and come in (still a terrible value) but the way I was treated was unlike anything I've experienced at any golf course in my entire life. I'm pretty sure he just wanted us to come in as we were the last carts out on the course... Terrible hospitality... Play someplace else... I certainly will.
