Falcon Valley Golf Course

Nice course which was great for years. The newer staff can be quite abrasive at times. Hoping they figure it out.

Played early morning with my son. Course is in great shape, pace of play was very good. Nice 9 hole course, cost slightly on the high end for 9 holes. Would play again.

Yes, it's only nine holes but you are going to get nine holes that stack up against any nine holes across all public golf courses in Kansas City. The course was in pristine shape and the greens were glassy in the best way possible.

The staff's friendliness and helpfulness set the stage for a good round. First two holes will have you convinced you're driving the cart the wrong way but have faith. Decent layout with narrow fairways for a challenge to chronic slicers. A little intimidating as you're constantly boxed in by jungle or million dollar homes but nothing a beer can't help with.

Overall, I would say this was a great experience for me and my son to get to come out and play this course. We had a 12 o’clock teetime but were able to get on the course a little earlier by being paired up with another twosome. For as much rain as this area has received over the last few weeks, the course was very playable. There were some areas where they are preparing to put down new sod, which is understandable in the spring. We did find that we were waiting on most of the tee boxes for the group ahead of us to finish the whole. I think it would’ve been helpful to have a Marshall out on the course to enforce the pace of play. The staff was really nice and although we did not buy any drinks out on the course, we did see the drink cart come by at least three times while playing. She made sure to stop and ask each time if we needed anything. The course is very nice and challenging. However, the opening hole is a par five and the second hole is the longer of the two par threes. Keeping your ball near the fairway is a must at this course due to the woods, houses, and the tall native grasses, which line both sides of the fairways especially for about the first five holes. It does seem to open up a bit heading down the final stretch back toward the clubhouse. I would definitely play this course again and recommend it to my friends.

Great place to squeeze in a quick round of 9 holes.
