St. James Bay Golf Club
About
Located in Carrabelle just minutes from the pristine white beaches of St. George Island and Cape San Blas, St. James Bay Resort boasts the only Audubon Signature Sanctuary golf course in the area. It's not an understatement to say that water is the course's most formidable feature. There are 15 lakes throughout the landscape that present a hazard on every hole. Towering pines and colorful flowers accent the scenic parkland as well. In addition to the natural hazards that have been seamlessly incorporated, bunkers were carefully added to strategic locations to make the course more challenging, but they still allow the landscape to truly shine. In addition to the golf course, St. James Bay offers a full practice facility with a driving range, a chipping green with a bunker, and two putting greens.

Beautiful Interesting Golf
The course is part of a bird sanctuary, so the wildlife and plant life around the course is beautiful. It’s a tricky little course; very short, you can play irons of the tee most of the day. Very interesting layout. Staff 8/ the friendliest you will ever meet. The prices in the pro shop for apparel are amazing - I bought two shirts they were such a good deal. Also the grill had a Kentucky Derby party going on with a $10 lunch plate. All in all it was a great day
Hard
This course was the hardest course I have ever played. I am not that good to be fair.
fun course
course was fun. can’t use a driver on many holes because of hazards which was different than most places. also it rained all monday and we teed of first thing tuesday morning. course drained well and hardly any wet spots.
Not great for beginners.
We were staying on St. George Island for a few days and had brought our clubs with the expectation of playing some golf. We didn't have a little hiccup with the green fees. Their website said it was $40 at 1pm, but they told us that rate wasn't until 2pm. I showed them on my phone and they honored the price. Thank you.
The course is very challenging for beginner or less skilled players like me. You have to hit over a large area of thicket on almost every tee. Bring lots of golf balls. Not sure if I'd risk venturing too far into the bushes to look for lost balls as it's Florida and there's probably something that will eat you in there.
Overall I had an enjoyable round.
Great Course
This is a very challenging course for a double bogey golfer but that's one of the reasons I like it so much. Beautiful scenery. Very well maintained course despite the heavy rains we've been having lately. Will definitely return soon.
Course is in great shape.
We play this course every year when we stay at St George Island. The course was the most crowded we have seen. The Marshall did an excellent job spacing us in the mid morning so that we had a wonderful experience.
The course is in great shape. We highly recommend you play this course.
great course
Excellent layout. Naturally beautiful course and challenging holes. Ready to play again.
Fun
Love the course layout and GPS system is excellent
Bring extra balls
Don't take out the big stick on every hole. Play smart. I played much better on the back than the front. Unless your down the middle on every tee off shot play smart and hit your second shot. Marsh will have you thinking...should I go for it.....Watch out for number 15....
Great challenging course
We loved this course.we are very keen golfers, and booked here at a really good rate with Golfnow.as we hadn’t played it before, found it very challenging as there are a many holes with a huge amount of carry .. However,we went back a few days later, with course knowledge, and throughly enjoyed it. The greens had just been treated, however, they were great.the scenery was lovely,as were all the staff. We arrived a bit early, and as the course was quiet,we were told if we wanted to,we could T -off.. driving range was included in our price as was a car that with gps, which was important to keep an eye on!
awesome
I had not played this course in a couple of years and it did not disappoint The course was wet but still
in great shape Greens were perfect
Beautiful Course Very Challenging
Great place to play. It is short and narrow. Would play again just bring a ball for each hole.
Target Golf
Challenging course that requires thinking before hitting shots. Lots of landing areas.
Love this course
Played here on a tip from a friend and really enjoyed the course. You can make the course as hard as you want by changing tee boxes. The 2 par 5's on the back nine are as good as anywhere. A little off the beaten path, but worth the effort.
Gem in the middle of nowhere
This course is truly remarkable. I can’t believe it still exists because of such little amount of play. It is in the middle of nowhere but is totally worth the drive. We come here every time we visit St. George Island. The course conditions are fantastic and the layout is very challenging. It is not long, but you better hit it straight. Great value. Great course.
Fun, Tough course
This was the 4th time playing this course and it is just as tough as the 3 previous rounds. You must use course management to the fullest extent all while needing pin-point accuracy. The course is beautiful itself and the staff is very attentitive while also laid back and definitely want their customers to feel welcome and want to return. I will be returning to this course as long as I keep vacationing in the area.
