About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

We had 2 Tee Times. A 7:48 for 2 and the following time for 3. At 7:43 we were at the tee box with no starter there and no other group to be seen in front nor behind us. We started and on the 2nd hole the Marshall drove up to us saying over his radio he found Cart # 1. He then told our 3 some that we should not have left early. ( Then he should have been on the first tee box ) He then told us on the 4th hole we needed to pick up our pace! Our group of 3 was behind us with no one else in sight behind them. We finished our round in under 3 hours (2hr 52 minutes) 18 holes! There is and was no need for that Marshall to say anything to us besides enjoy your round. When I mentioned something afterward at the Pro shop on how we were done already he just shook his head mumbled and kept quiet.

Good value
Great day of golf, however the club house employee was trying to put two golfers together in same cart when one of the golfers was coming off cov'd.

Always a great value in the south Denver suburbs
Greens were outstanding, staff friendly and efficient, the course improvements monitored by the on-course team are greatly appreciated, and all add up to much appreciated improvements to the golfer's experience. Coming here is always a good time. The course receives a lot of play but when everyone remembers to play ready golf and fix their ball marks, and keep up the pace, somehow we all move through okay. The course is not long but it is fair and a good challenge, especially when the wind kicks up.

Horrible service and unfriendly staff
I played this course a few times the last month while in Denver for surgeries for my daughter. Took her out with me a couple times and today they wouldn’t let us on the course, took my money and had us leave. After I’ve already spent well beyond $500 here on green fees the last month, add food and drink into that also!
That’s not how a professional course should be.
Guy said she could sit in the car while I played 18 holes!
Been golfing a long time and this is the first time my kid wasn’t aloud to ride in the cart with me.
Horrible service and will never be back here!

Fun and challenging
It’s short and challenging, played it with another in 3:30. Pretty quick if it isn’t packed. Usually easy to get on as a single or twosome. I play here a lot, greens can be tough.

Getting better & better
...my strategy playing this tricky little course...is getting better, still working on my score :)
You can't/shouldn't just barrel after the holes here, unless you have great personal insurance and a lot of extra time and money on your hands. I played with a resident who lives on the back nine and his place has been hit (3) times so far, this season. One person offered to pay for the damages, the other two "slipped" away into the fading light of the day.
Play smart and safe here to score well; I held back from my inner-monster, "RIPPER" and played smart and scored (74) so it works. Cheers!
