Heather Ridge Golf Course
About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

Golfer Reviews
Fast greens and tight little course
Greens were great FAST….
Had 4 pars and 5 bogeys
4 three putts….
Waited 5-10 minutes every tee box
People are super nice….
My 6 iron was a liability …. Got on in two on # 7 which is sweet….
You have to be aware of other groups in all directions….extremely tight….I was reading putts and telling jokes …. Good day really….
Course was great but if you're from out-of-town prepare to have a chaperone with you. We had a group of 3 for an outing to enjoy the day and got stuck with a 4th local to babysit some grown men. Made some story up about "he can't play alone because he can't see the ball he just hit down the center of the fairway".. Not good idea to make your visitors feel like they need to be watched on a golf course.. Never recommend this to anyone.
Worth it
I read all of the reviews. Some good, some mediocre, some bad. All I can say is that our experience was VERY good. Albeit very windy on the day we played, the staff was very friendly, quick to provide service, and the rangers and cart staff were out on the course at all times. Living in FL, we are used to higher priced gold courses. Pricing seems fair for this course. It is a tight course on the front nine, but short. Your driver will help you if you can control it. I would definitely play this course again when visiting Denver.
Put some water on the course!
The course was in fair condition for spring. They have put a new restroom conveniently located on 4 and 14. As we did not see a towel bucket at the first hole, we thought we would wet our towels, but no water.
The start was on the 10th hole, which is a par 3. We were 15 minutes late starting and then backed up when we did start.
There were no water containers on the course for drinking water. Most courses have put these out now. The slow group in front of us was delayed further by going in for water.
I like the course, but it is too far for us. And I found the water several times.
The sand traps were like concrete. I just do not play them anymore. A pro would never have to deal with that.
Fun course!
Nice blend of challenging holes but close to executive size. Hole 8 was my favorite.
Can’t beat the deal!
Was able to get on and play 18 w/cart for $25. Wasn’t many people out, and I could play at my own speed which is fast. If you’re looking for an affordable 18 hole round, or happen be looking for a last minute tee time, take a swing at Heather Ridge.
Love this place
Great greens..... already.
Your reputation for perfect greens remains intact!!
We really appreciate that, and to keep upholding our reputation!
Thanks so much for coming out to the course!
Best greens in town
This is my favorite place to play just for the challenging and always well manicured greens.
Dimond in the rough golf
Been going here since 2017 and close to the house.. easy access off the I-225 highway. with the upgrade on at the club house and added amenities on the course. always been a good course to play. Bring new friends and business partners here is worth the drive.
We really appreciate you leaving us such a great rating!
Thanks so much for leaving us a great 4 stars!
