About

The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

Good Public Course

We played this on a Sunday and were the first twosome out. The fairways were in good shape and the greens were recently sanded but we knew that ahead of time. Staff was very friendly and the course was fun. We finished in around 3 hrs but we took a cart and are fast players. If you haven’t played it before be sure to check out where the hazards are, a yardage book would have helped us as we got in trouble on a few of the water holes. Overall, it was an enjoyable round and would play again now that we know the course layout.

Saturday morning round

Tee time gave me no indication that the course sas aerated and sanded this week.

Play was slow and conditions not so good. We saw the Marshall a lot more than the cart girl?

Is it already fall?

Great tempature for play. Those grasses are going to look great. They are aerating but the staff was right on with the tee times. Thanks Jim and Julia for being so positive and helpful.

Pathetic Slowness

Have played many times but 2day was suicidal slow... last group 4 holes empty. Were is marshall..telling people in back they are going to slow...FEE FOR NOT WANTIBG TO RIDE WITH STRANGER DURING COVID REALLLLLYYYY

It was a great day at the course, my first time to visit. Paired with two other gentlemen and we all seemed to enjoy playing - one of them was hitting his second round of 18 for the day since he enjoyed his first so much. Very good value using Golfnow.com

5 1/2 hour round

5 1/2 hour round for this par 70 municipal course. Not a single marshal on the course to check pace of play. It’s obvious this course is trying to get as many greens fees as they can with the least amount of overhead instead of caring about customer experience. Would not recommend.

Experience At Course

I took my son and one of our employees to the golf course we had a 2 o'clock team time when we arrived at the course the Pro shop staff was extremely helpful and friendly. We purchased range balls and practiced putting.

Our tee-time started promptly and we found the golf course to be in overall good condition. We had never golfed this course before and found it moderately challenging obviously the next time we play it we will be more prepared for the layout making club selection easier. The beverage cart staff came around three times and they were all extremely polite and friendly. If I was going to have anything negative to say we believe that the group in front of us smoked cigarettes because on six of the greens we found cigarette butts. This obviously was not the course's fault but the rude group of golfers in front of us. We will absolutely put this golf course on our list to play again.
