About
The golf course at Heather Ridge provides not only a good game but also spectacular views overlooking the Rocky Mountains. The former private, 18-hole course is 6,106 yards at its longest tees and plays to a par of 70. Renowned golf course designer Richard Phelps designed the course, which opened in 1972. The small greens are undulating and extremely sloped. The course also features narrow fairways and water hazards. The most difficult hole on the Heather Ridge Golf Course is the 10th hole, which is a par-5 that covers 506 yards.

Houses line the course
Houses and condos line the course, and there are signs all over stating that the golfer is responsible for any damages. I’m not talking about shots 50 yards left either, but more like 15 yards off line. I had a lady come out asking for insurance info and harassing me because I pushed my drive. Now obliviously I gave her no information, because it’s not against the law to hit bad golf shots. If it were I would be In trouble. So I guess if you hit everything straight it’s a great course. I’ll make sure to recommend it to Phil and Tiger. The staff was very friendly however, but I’ll never play it again for the obvious reasons.

Impressed with staff
The staff went out of their way to make accommodations for two of us over 75 of age. It was very, very much appreciated.

Greens workers
The only thing I didn’t like about today is that we got started on the back 9 because they were doing maintenance on the front 9. We got to the front 9 and the greens workers were in the way and had to wait for them to finish doing their job. So why would we start on the back 9 if they were still working on the front 9 when we got there.

Course was good. Marshall was very angry and mean.
The course Marshall was very rude. We have played this course many, many times and have never had issues but the course Marshall today was very very rude and degrading.

Beat the heat!
I enjoyed this course even though I not familiar with the course. It was a bit frustrating not knowing where a few holes were. But the course was in great shape. I might add where I’m from maintenance crews are finished before first tee. I had several mowers and other maintenance going on at just about every hole. One mower was headed right toward my ball. I did win that chicken match. But besides all the maintenance, I had a pleasant time.

Cart girl needs to go around more in the 18 holes we played only saw her once and that close to the end.
