Lone Star Golf Course
About
Formally known as Del Norde Country Club and Cielo Vista Golf Course, this basic, flat course has long been known as the easiest course in El Paso. This short layout features wide-open fairways, large bent-grass greens, and minimal bunkering and water hazards. Yet there are a few spots where scores can add up, as many of the fairways dogleg, and more than a few approaches offer minimal views of the green because of the trees that have been added over the years.
In terms of notable holes, the signature is the 435-yard par 4 No. 2, tough because of its length and approach into a narrow, multi-level green. Be ready for No. 11, a 575-yard par 5 that features a long dogleg left with loads of trouble along that side. Big hitters might be able to cut the corner on this hole. No. 18 features a lake in the corner of the dogleg left that impacts both the tee shot and approach on this 380-yard hole.
Getting there : Adjacent to the El Paso Airport. From I-10 heading east, exit Hawkins and drive north. The course is on the right side of the street.

Great Experience
There were 2 five player teams in front of us. Other than that , it was awesome.
Good course but still not confortable with sharing cart
This is an overall good course. The fairways where good. The greens were OK. The only problem that I found today was that they make me ride with somebody else in the same cart. I still don’t feel comfortable doing that because of COVID. The worst part is that I did pre-pay for the cart and they did not gave me a refund.
Golf pass should refund me for the cart fees.
In Good shape for El Paso
Course is an old parkland style, flat and easy to walk. Tee to green in good shape. Greens actually very good (was able to hit a hybrid and have the ball check up)
Staff could be a little friendlier (doubted my Golf now time)
Seen better days
Usually this course is wonderful. It appears this winter hit pretty hard though. The fairways are beyond dormant and the ball will roll. The greens are okay shape. Like I said for being winter season, its pretty much what you'd expect.
