Greens
Pace of play was very poor. And the greens are not in good shape. Some greens barely have grass on them making pin placements very limited They’d be better shutting down for several months to fix their greens and then reopen when they have it all figured out.
Just ok
Course needs some work, greens are not good, and sand traps are more like dirt than sand. Carts are extremely slow.
Biggest issue I had was the beer cart girl and maintenance staff, about 6 people drove behind me at the last 3 holes bumping music and being loud. Golf should be quite calm and relaxing.
I remembered why I stopped going
When I checked in could not care less. Don’t pay be credit they will charge you to use your card. What they forgot to mention was a tournament would be starting an hour after my tee time. So I was behind. 6 some on the back nine. Tees are awful fairways are hard as pavement greens need work. Only bright sport was the cart guys were friendly. It was once a great course. Golf courses usually reflect the town they are in and this one does that to a tee
Horrible Pace of Play
Marshall let the 1 pm tee time, who showed up at my 110 tee time , go before us. That was the start of the snowball effect to the pace of play today.
Poor management
Played 2 holes, wind picked up nasty with zero visibility. Went back for a raincheck and was told not after playing a hole. Loved the course beforehand but will never play Butterfield again. Save your money
Big Improvement
The course condition is really improving from a year ago. I had given up on this course.
So happy getting back into shape. Be back
This course has a divine view
The course sits almost a top of a little mountain setting you up for spectacular views. The conditions were a little off but might’ve been due to construction. The greens were great and the tee boxes were in prestige’s conditions. Wind conditions play a huge factor due to where the course is situated. Unfortunately for me, heavy gust caused so much sand and dirt to make it impossible to see. I was only able to finish the first 9 holes, but would love to play the full 18 on less windy days.
First time but not last time
This course is in the top 2 for me for play. But its top tier for clubhouse and restaurant. Pace of play was horrible the day I played and you have your "regulars" that will make you feel un welcomed and get hit into a few times. But overall enjoyed it
