Course is struggling
Hard to believe the fairways are in such bad shape with all the rain we have had. Tee boxes and greens were what you would expect for a public course but the fairways were awful.

You could start by not charging full price to play on dirt. I've seen other courses that had the same problem a month ago and those courses are back to normal.

Dirt Track
The fairways are literally all dirt. Save your money.

Hot deal not so hot.
Over half of the fairways were nothing but dirt. I was better off hitting into the rough so I had something green to hit off of. Must have had a bad rain washout.
Also, why does Golf Now tell me it is a hot deal when I paid $4 more per round than the course price, not including the additional fees that typically accompany the scheduling.
Not sure I'll use Golf Now again, or at least I will verify the round costs before I fall for another "Hot Deal".

Greens
The greens were beautiful! Either due to recent rain, hardworking staff or both! The fairways on the other hand are still in need of work. Those that had grass were spotty others were just dirt. I’ll definitely keep coming back! Keep those greens beautiful!

Fun layout
It’s a good challenge for a quick round on a Sunday afternoon. Greens were rolling very nicely. The overall course conditions were good, but there were a few fairways that had no grass in large areas. If they patch those up this course would definitely be closer to a 4/5.

Very poor condition
Alost no grass in the fairways. Some greens were adequate.

Generally in pretty good shape. Tee boxes and fairways do not have any grass. Some greens were also in bad shape

Good Layout, Bad condition
Course has a nice layout with some vertical change. Greens are good to average for this time of year, some have some sandy/patched spots but not too bad. Fairways and Tee boxes on the other hand are in terrible condition, no grass whatsoever, dirt/sand everywhere. There is more grass in the rough than on the fairway. Course could benefit from some seeding and watering. There are other courses in better condition right now for similar prices.

Before you go!
It’s early spring and the grass in Oklahoma is just now coming out of dormancy. We’re also in the midst of a bit of a drought. All that being said, there is ZERO grass on the fairways right now at Aqua Canyon. I’ve never played a golf course where the fairways were in worse condition. It would almost be better to close the course down for a month or so, spread some Bermuda seed and see what happens. Hate to see it, because this is usually a pretty fun track with great people and pace of play. I hope we get some rain soon and they’re able to bring it back to life.

Grass Needed
Unfortunately this course is very dry except on the greens. If you can putt on very wet/long greens and play off of dirt in fairways then you might be able to score. Unfortunately lack of local rain has been difficult to overcome for course maintenance

Greens and food
Greens where rough not all but some causing putting issues got cold hotdogs on the turn wasn't good

Love the layout - should have been warned about fairways
Always love this course and my sons and I finished in about 3 1/2 hours - awesome for a holiday weekend. Only complaint was the fairways (or lack of). Most of the fairways were nothing but dirt - not sure if there had been a problem or just lack of water all winter. They have watered the greens and they were in pretty good shape except for a few rough areas, but you had to look pretty hard to find grass on many of the fairways. Looking at the glass half full though…you did get a lot of roll.

The fairways are all dirt and clay. Not even dormant grass. It’s dead and barren.
However, the greens are in pretty good shape.
