Tour 18 Dallas
About
Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Family outing
I love the design and environment, however most of the sand traps were dug up and one hole was closed. Didn’t expect to pay full price for a round.
Could Be a Premier Destination, If...
I was really looking forward to playing this course again — it’s always exciting to return to a layout with such great potential. Unfortunately, as has been the case in past visits, the overall course conditions left us a bit disappointed.
To be fair, the greens were in decent shape and rolled well, and most of the fairways offered playable turf. However, the surrounding grounds — from tee boxes to general landscaping — continue to show a lack of care and investment. With summer just around the corner and the busy season upon us, we expected the course to be in better shape, especially given the price of the green fees.
This course has the foundation to be a premier golfing destination, but it’s clear that some attention to detail and reinvestment is needed to bring the experience in line with its cost and potential. Here's hoping future visits reflect a commitment to raising the overall standard.
Not worth the price
We were informed at the first tee that all sand traps on the front nine and "some" on the back nine were to be played as ground under repair. That information should have appeared on the Tour 18 web site, when booking thru Golf Now or at the pro shop when checking in. They charged us $119/player which is full weekend greens fees for a course that is 65% playable. Some of the traps were also full of muddy water making it impossible to find the golf balls that fell in them. I sent an email similar to this writing to their general manager and did not receive the courtesy of a reply. I guess they don't think much of their patrons so why should we go back and play there again?
Tour 17 - Course Under Construction!
Tee Boxes and greens in good shape. Cart Girls were nice and we saw them consistently. Clubhouse and outside snack hut are nice.
Our complaint, the course is under a serious bunker maintenance upgrade that wasn’t disclosed or advertised when we booked. That means there was several fairways with noticeable wear and tear from heavy machinery and trucks. Some of the bunkers that have been up graded have dying squares of sod and it looks terrible. Hole 8 was closed. But hey, they gave us a $20 off coupon to be used next time.
Fees should be priced a bit lower as you don’t get the same “feel” that is expected when you play Tour 18!
A blast to play.
I can’t say anything bad about the course. The holes were all impressive. The bunkers are being remade so they were all ground under repair, but that didn’t take away from a great course. The greens were phenomenal.
It’s a Gimmick
Awesome layout with the replica holes, but this place is a disaster. Nothing good to say about the conditions here. I wouldn’t pay more than $40 to play here.
Save your money
I worked at Tour 18 for 2 years from 2016-2018 & the course is about as lousy as it was when I worked there. Greens are unsuitable, they're redoing most of the bunkers, but I'll probably not come back until everything is fixed!!
MY PLAY
Fairways are not well kept; bunkers were under repair. Green's have a plague, they are not in the best shape.
Poor Greens, Bunkers Under repair, Tee boxes unkempt
Course lay out was great, holes did resemble iconic holes. Greens with other invasive grass throughout making for poor roll. If greens repaired would definitely play again.
Must check out
Layout was unbelievable. Course is definitely under repair, but if you want a great experience come here. Greens were fine and tee boxes were good. Back nine is getting worked on. Don’t come here expecting the hole name you’ll play. It’s not Augusta but it’s a pretty cool lay out. Staff was upfront about conditions
Fix it or shut it down.
The course has zero business being open.
Fairways are desert. Greens have weeds everywhere.
Tee boxes were dirt and unlevel.
2 of the holes were completely unplayable.
And one hole (18) was closed.
Either get it back in shape or just close it for a season and redo it.
Great Course
Tour 18 has bunker renovations which are clearly stated otherwise this course is absolutely stellar. 100% will return to see how great it is after the renovations finish. Those complaining need a reality check.
Course under repair
The course has a decent amount of holes under repair on the back nine. It is still playable, but you may wanna wait until the summer when they are done. The staff is upfront with the conditions. We still had an enjoyable round of golf.
Honest Opinion
Pace of play was too long. But to be honest, the reason is the skill level of the golfers. My son and I are very low handicapers. We're both a 2 and play the tips everywhere we play. But, honestly, you have way too many hackers that play this course. This course isn't easy. The slope and the pace of the greens aren't for your weekend, beer drinking, taking selfies, warriors. If you shoot in the 80s, you'll be in the 90s at the end of your round. If you shoot in the upper 80s into the 90s, then you're just in the way. This isn't the course where you see where you 90s game is at. You're not going to improve your game here. You can be 20 ft for birdie and if you're on the wrong side of the cup, you're just putting to get the ball close, I watched the two we were playing with 3 putt to 4 putt every hole and we're upset about when they should have understood that this course is easy above their skill level. It makes for a long day. Looking around, the majority of the players couldn't handle the course. A 3.5 hour round was a 5 hour round.
The course is in decent shape for this time of year. Course is redoing all their bunkers and you can tell they're working hard to get the course back. I think it'll be there by mid 2025. Staff, friendly. Carts, upgraded. And you can't beat the layout. But again, this isn't a course for hackers. You'll be 10 over or more after your first 9 holes. My son shot an 76 and I shot a 75. It's a tough course.
