Tour 18 Dallas
About
Tour 18 Dallas is an ingenious compilation of the greatest golf holes in the nation, giving golfers the chance to play replica holes from 16 top courses. This one is tough -- not only because of the challenging and lengthy choice of holes that went into the design -- but especially because of the lightning-fast greens and challenging pin placements. While the conditions are probably accurate in terms of what the pros face each week, it can be quite humbling to shoot 15 strokes over your handicap because of 4- and 5-putts. The most recognizable holes at Tour 18 Dallas are the Augusta National Amen Corner replicas, which make up the final three-hole stretch.

Must play at least once
Tour 18 is a bit of a haul to get to but once you are inside the community, you feel like you are in a different place.
With COVID-19 precautions in affect, you are forced to walk which is not a big deal, our foursome always walks but just know this course has tons of hills and some distances between the green to the next tee are LONG (did I say hilly?). Make sure you bring plenty of water as there isn't a way to purchase any at the course. Our phones registered just shy of 20K steps which equates to 7-8 miles.
Greens and bunkers are destroyed
I love the course layout. As for walking, there is huge hilly, walking stretches between quite a few holes and it’s a serious hike walking the course. The greens are all but lost. They were punched a few weeks back but huge patches of dead areas on most of the greens made putting worthless. The greens are shot.... Fairways are clean and the views are awesome. Most of the bunkers have been lost though attempts at repairing and sand filling are being done. We as a group made a fair play gesture by removing the ball from most bunkers and drop and play in the grass because of the horrible shape of some the bunkers but we did play out of a few bunkers that were remade. There is a bunch of different sands being used and every other bunker was a different grade of sand, rom fluffy white sand to red clay to mud filled to unplayable. The 2nd hole cart path has been destroyed by contractors driving heavy machinery on the course for water pumping repairs. Making an embarrassing mess of the right side of the fairway. It’s gunna take a heroic effort to get the course in better shape but for now you may want look elsewhere to play.
interesting course great play
really great place. interesting challenging holes. greens need a little attention.
Disappointing but not all courses fault
In short...had to walk due to county judge orders ALTHOUGH exceptions were made to those that paid more in advance which is a head scratcher. Greens in awful shape which is the WORST way to offer the tour course experience. Not an ideal place to walk as many green to tee walks are longer than the par 5s. By the time the Amen Corner comes, one can no longer swing effectively from the 11 mile walk.
Tour 18 - a great way to spend a Monday afternoon
The course was in great shape. Staff was helpful and friendly.
Really got my steps in this day, course was walking only, great weather to walk, but be prepared to walk up several hills.
Looking forward to returning next week!
great holes and tough but
FYI they just punched and sanded the greens so please be aware the greens are not in good shape. overall the course was great and quite hilly when walking. Think folks will find a good walk thru 18 is nice for a change.
greens in poor shape but still love the layout
I always love playing this course for the layout...
greens have been punched fairly recently and not in good shape at all...this course has historically been quite up/down with its conditions...
BUT i am not that picky about green conditions and love playing each hole as they are so unique..I still get much enjoyment playing this course for the right price.. I would not pay more than 50-60 dollars with green conditions but gladly play it in the 30 dollar range
Solid layout
The course features a really solid layout, as you might expect from the origins of the course design. The tees and fairways were in good shape. The greens were very poor. So bad that our group invoked an automatic 2 putt rule. With the green condition, $25 is an appropriate green fee. Would recommend under better conditions.
This course has gone down hill
The course was extremely wet and soggy to the point where it seems there is a serious drainage issue. This was my third round of the long weekend and this place was years behind other courses in the area as far a drainage was concerned. I expected bunkers might be washed out in some places, but some of their bunkers were 2-3 feet deep of water...And to be honest, I can look past all of their drainage/water issues, but the greens where terrible. It was laughable how inconsistent and shoddy they were, especially since they are dormant. It's a shame because this course used to be fun to play, but now you're better off playing a $30 muni.
Fun
Loved the course, had a great time. Some tee boxes were worn and some bunkers have obviously been just forgotten about. Other than those minor things I was very happy. I’ll be back.
Very nice day golfing
The course is starting to look good. The sand traps are getting better the greens are in good shape although they could be more reasonably sloped. The tee boxes are in good shape but need to be more level. The fairways are very nice. Over all a great course
